I think he's a good coach, but not that great of recruiter. Has to live off developing in state kids...Which works for State.
And kids from Alabama that don't go to Alabama or Auburn. He signed like 10 Alabama kids a few years ago.

If he coached at LSU with y'all's natural recruiting advantages, he would compete with Saban in the "legend tier" of the SEC.

A recruiter is a recruiter. Dan just isn't an elite one. But he would still get talent at a place like LSU. But kids are going to go there regardless of the coach.

Ole miss and state are not losing recruits to Southern Miss

I never said that. How did you interpret it that way?

Ask again in a few years after the new scheduling rules have been in place for a while.
He's done a good job coaching in some big games, but his OOC scheduling is embarrassing to the point that it should severely tarnish his reputation. I can understand for the first couple of years to help build some momentum with easy wins, but this far into his tenure is just cowardly and a blight on the entire conference. Even programs like South Alabama have enough self respect to schedule challenging OOC opponents.
He does enjoy beating auburns arse though

Yeah that 3-5 record is super intimidating

For a team that has a sub par .500 all time record and don't have a natty in any sport, you sure on that D. Do you swallow? If so, we can be friends.

Auburn losing to State 3 times while having superior talent is a showcase of both how pathetic Auburn is, but also how good Mullen is.
You people think good coaches win titles every year.
False.
State is the hardest job in America.
Malzahn would last one season in Starkville before being fired.

What was harder on you this year. The blowout in football, the loss in basketball, or the series loss in baseball?
I imagine losing in literally every major sport in the same school year to one school would create a lot of hate for said school.

Is Auburn the worst program that has ever existed in history, including all parallel universes?
I think so.

Football, 2nd worst team in the Mullen era after losing the best player in school history. Nobody outside of the SEC knows what Auburn did. Congrats finishing in 2nd behind your daddy Saban. We beat out rivals.
Basketball, what tourney did you make?
Baseball, you lost to worst team in SEC history and still 2 games behind us.

joshua, your alter is pathetically obvious.
We lost to State once with our worst team in school history, and no we did not have better talent than them in 2012.
The other two they had their GOAT QB who was 1st team All-SEC both those years and just won Rookie of the Year and made the Pro Bowl. Dak beat a lot of teams.
And I'll humor your alter, josh. The worst program that has ever existed in history, including parallel universes, would probably be the one that has never won a single national championship in any sport 125 or more years of competing in athletics.

No.
The Auburn "famibaloney" is a pile of dystopian lies.

Hope all of that makes you feel better about losing to Auburn in literally everything. But dick riding Bama baseball is a pathetic new low even for Mississippi State. You guys won the first game of the series too, and how did that work out for y'all? I remember you personally doing a lot of drunken shite talking so y'all must have finished the job, right? I've got to say that was the first time the person drunkenly calling my name over and over was a man. I'll always hold a place for you in my heart as my first, Josh.

That's a melt if I have ever heard one. Do I see a tear drop in your eye? You're the worst poster on the rant. It's so bad that your own fan base don't like you.

I wish he would of gotten the UF or Oregon job. I think he could make it at a bigger school.

If something happened to McElwain, Stricklin would be calling Mullen.
