BCS ranking unless the 2nd team in BCS ranking is the head to head winner with the 1st IIRC.

In your scenario aTm beats Bama early, LSU beats aTm, then LSU loses to Bama.

Bama is likely the highest ranked in that scenario, so LSU is out.

I'm on this board all the time. We complain about how schedules aren't even. We love playing UF.

We'd just maybe kinda want bama to play someone besides UK, mizzou or UT.

It's pretty logical. You're our biggest obstacle. We want you to have a tougher schedule. Idk how that makes us cowards.

All of this.

I'm on board with Spurrier now. Just give us the damn playoff already. Let the best 8 play it out. Spurrier was on the playoff train way back in the 90s because Florida had to get past FSU and the SEC just to get a shot at the natty.

But 4 is a damn good start. Infinitely better than where this whole mess started with champions being awarded before bowls were even played and #1 and #2 never playing one another half the time.

Picking 4 this season would have been a BITCH.

Too bad it wasn't the first year of it, end of season controversy is my second favorite part of CFB after the Tigers.

UGA took bama to the last play of the game in SECCG.

Cocks beat the crap out of UGA.

Gators "D" is good enough to keep them in any game. Gators beat us by more. They kept LSU out the endzone. Something the tide couldn't do.

If you think bama would just walk allover them you are sadly mistaken.

Our SEC schedule for '13 is most certainly more difficult than '11 was.

The more games a team has VS opponents that actually PLAY with them the more it physically takes out of them leading to defeats down the road.

When's the last time bama played the top two teams in the east in the same regular season? Two of top three?

1st tiebreaker is head to head

2nd is division record. That's why if auburn had beaten bama, LSU would have gone to atlanta to face UGA. LSU, bama and A&M would have all been 6-2 in conference. All would be 1-1 in head to head but, LSU would have only had one loss in division. A&M one loss in division. bama would have had two, knocking them out. LSU beat A&M head to head so, tigers to atlanta.

3rd and beyond. Don't know.

I could see any where from 10-2 to 12-0. Mett has the potential to really shine in '13. If he and the WRs play up to capabilities then the defense will be good enough to be a championship team.

Regardless ... the SEC office thinks HIGHLY enough of LSU to give them the opportunity to WIN their way into the Championship Game.

8-4 if things go as they should 9-3 if they pull one out of their arse. LSU is in the death spiral.

I think BAMA would thrash all three. And I think our OOC slate that included Oregon and WV in 2011 makes it tougher than the upcoming season. I also think our propensity to play to the level of our competition keeps our starters in games much longer than some programs, at let this past year anyway. We'll see how it shakeout. Depends on how the lesser games are approached (Furman, Kent State). If you go ground and pound and starters till mid 4th then we will wear down as the season goes on.

Not at all. Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida, Oregon. Only team arguably getting screwed got spanked by 8-5 Baylor. The other four are undefeated or lost to 10+ win teams.

Add Ohio State to the mix and it's a little difficult, but 2012 would have been fine with a playoff.

Considering UGA took the tide to the final snap how can you think bama would THRASH all three. Seems to me that word would be a total beatdown.

Again it's about the SEC schedule nothing to do with OOC.

Considering LSU gets the two top rated preseason favorites in the SEC EAST: Florida and Georgia, and Bama only has to get past Tennessee and Kentucky, we can only be projected to finish 2nd to Bama at best—thanks to the SEC Birmingham based pricks, who keep trying to deep-six LSU in favor of Bama. :beatdeadhorse:
