It's an offseason stand-by alongside expansion talk, divisional realignment proposals, and (for the past few years) OM vs the NCAA. Unfortunately, offseason topics are damn near the same every year but what else do we have to pass the time?

These are the times when new witty axioms should be introduced, not to have the old stale ones rolled out...but that may be asking too much from this collection of "wordsmiths".

First degree murder.

Maybe.

I doubt that you could find a jury of 12 Alabama residents (Auburn folks can't serve on juries) who would convict him on the charge anyway.

He'd probably have to literally kill some one. I don't know if any record could get him fired. He's had too much success.

If Nick Saban murdered somebody they would without a doubt have to move the trial outside of Alabama, possibly out of the southeast altogether to get a fair trial.

If he poisoned or destroyed a rival teams property, t-bagged a rival teams fan and wrecking balled his way into an opponent's student body during a game drunk. It would mean he has stooped as low as his redneck fans. You wouldn't have to worry about him getting canned, he would probably kill himself after he realized his transformation.

This just is not going to happen

Nick Saban is just too good and has no desire to be a bad guy or scandals

Not saying someone in his staff is not stupid but this would not sink him.

Nick is Teflon good

I honestly believe Saban will leave on his terms. He's one of those coaches who will retire the moment he no longer think he's doing the job up to his expectations and standards. The only way Saban gets canned is if something on the level of Penn State happens in Tuscaloosa because he's never going to lose enough to get fired.

Nothing.

Bama can't afford to buy out his contract.

There isn't a jury you could put together in the entire state that would convict him.
