yes? I never claimed "spurrier is done", like the LSU fan did about richt which prompted my response. You following now?

The first response ITT is you laughing at the thought of SC winning it. Interesting

And? SC has won the division once in 22 years and got a historic beating when they did. There's nothing to suggest that out of everyone in the east, SC would be the next to win. So what's wrong with my sentiment?

Just ironic that's all. I know just because we beat UGA doesn't mean we are capable of beating the west champ. I understand that's not the same level of difficulty.

There was an 8-5 team last year with no qb that took that really good team to triple overtime tied at 13. The west wasnt overrated, we just all killed each other by the time the season was over.

Take away Alabama from the West and the division isn't all that, unless all those other teams just play like crap against Georgia.

Alabama is really good. The rest of the West is so overrated by association it's laughable.

Pat attention here, folks.
If anyone knows what overrated looks like, it's a Dawg.

There's nothing ironic about it.

UGA has won the east twice in the last 4 years and is either holding even or improving. Doesn't look like we're declining.

Mizz has won the east twice the last 4 years and also looks to be roughly the same.

UT is on an upswing.

UF is an unknown.

SC has won the east 5 years ago and is most certainly not at the same level as they were then.

It's not an insult to SC, there's no reason to be so incredibly defensive. There are just other teams in teh division that have a MORE likely chance to win it than sc.

If it is in the next 5 years, UT or UGA. After that, UGA, UF, or UT.

Yes, because the SCU v UGA and the UGA v AU were very similar. Except that they were nothing alike.

Since Richt has been here, we have improved from pre season ranking to postseason 8 times. We have failed to meet those 5 times.

Honestly we're usually rated about right.

Pushing it back until December, but I'll likely get engaged before then some who the frick knows. We know several people moving to Chamblee/Brookhaven so I imagine we'll end up back over there.

You making any headway?

UGA under Richt - Perenneial pre-season top 15 team and underachiever. Capital One Bowl trophy is their ceiling.

South Carolina - They enjoyed the best 3 year stretch of their program but still didn't win jack shiet. Even with Spurrier they're currently in a massive decline. They'll slide to UK/Vandy level soon.

Mizzou - At the end, talent wins championships. They absolutely peaked as a 3* U while the East was down.

Florida - 2 bad hires in a row will plummet their program.

UK and Vandy - They're UK and Vandy

UT - Back to back Top 5 classes combined with quality coaching & positive momentum will win them championship(s).

that's where I am. Really great areas and really...not as great areas, depending on which part you're in. Spoiler alert: I'm not in one of the really great ones ha

how many times have we finished outside the top 15 since 01?

Seems like we're regular/overachievers by your metric.

Sec titles and sugar bowl wins have been our ceiling under richt. Also have had 8 top 10 seasons not including our 2013 team which was headed to the same area until shite hit the fan.

I also think it's funny that for UGA he talks about on-field play (which btw, trump anything recnetly UT could even dream of), while for UT's section he talks about recruiting rankings and "positive momentum".

I guess when you've had the last 5 years that they have you'll talk about anything BUT what actually happened on the field.

The last 5 years is what you have when you go through 4 coaches over a 5 year period. Jones is starting to stabilize things at UT off the field and that will translate to on the field production in due time.

This critique coming from 7-win ceiling vols is laughable. Your Talent is clearly an upgrade. Band team butch has yet to prove his coaching ability.
