Wisconsin has balls. LSU for decades has reached out to schedule power OOC teams, some accept some don't. VaTech, UNC, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, ArizonaSt, OregonSt, Wisconsin, TCU, Syracuse, ND, SoCal, FSU, WVU, MiamiU, TexasA&M (pre-SEC), ColoradoSt, SoCar (pre-SEC) are a few regular season who come to mind over my 40 years of watching LSU football.

I'm sure Bama reaches out just as much and some teams agree and some don't.

BTW, many games never come about bc the power opposition team will not come to BR for a home and home and won't play on a neutral site. (tOSU comes to mind).

Neutered sites need to be done with outside of bowl season

I agree. But llaying at Green Bay is pretty cool. NRG is pretty meh. LSU drank the place dry by half time.

Playing Bama and LSU in the state of Texas because Bama and LSU are too pussy to play outside the south in a true roadgame on campus

Not sure if serious. Washington and Syracuse say "hi." Seems like both of those games were played by LSU outside the south on campus.

LSU's offense is gonna be scary next year. I'm not exactly sure what they bring back on the OL, but y'all return something along the lines of all of your RBs and contributing WRs plus Harris.

We bring back the 3 on the interior of the line and the center Pocic is a natural LT that will be moved there next year. We've already been grooming another true freshman backup that has played plenty of snaps, and might be a starting guard or RT next year, so we'll essentially have four very capable starters there with three starting the entire year this year.

All RBs return, and I only expect us to lose one WR (Dural). That's if we go to the NCG. If we play 14 games this year, he finishes with over 900 yards at at least 5 TDs. We get back all TEs (including Gordon, who we lost early this year). We get back all FBs including our starter JD Moore. All QBs return as well.

It probably won't happen, but if they were let loose that team could have a 3000 yard passer, a 2000 yard rusher, and a 1000 yard receiver.

I know this is a year off, but I expect Fournette with a 2000 yard season (133.33 ypg), Guice with a 1000 yard season (66.66 ypg), Harris with a 3500 yard season (233.33 ypg), and Dupre with a 1500 yard season (100 ypg).

What I'm saying is, I expect us to go to the national championship game. If we don't go in 2015, I have no doubt with all that we have coming back, that we go next year.

Ohio State and LSU had a home and home series in 1987 and 1988. 1987 was in BR and was a tie and 1988 was in Columbus and was one of the greatest comebacks in college football history OSU won.

Not much memory for 40 years of watching

NRG nothing really special and complete anarchy getting back into town after the game.

I walked since the metrorail was a 4 hour wait. There were some pretty rough parts of town between NRG and downtown.

They were thinking they'd regain some prestige lost when Bert left them high and dry. Seriously, I think they were hoping to prove that they could beat top SEC teams, while Bert struggled to do the same at Arkansas. IIRC, the first game was scheduled shortly after we hired Bert.
It's easy to just dismiss this as BS, but I think that's exactly what happened. Came mostly from Alvarez and he didn't hide his displeasure about Bert leaving the B1G OR Wisky.

Is this what you tell yourself? Does it help you feel better?
I really don't see any Northern teams knocking down the door to play on our campuses either?

You walked from downtown Houston to Reliant? Good Lord.

And also, there isn't anything rough going that way other than a few homeless hanging out by the old Sears.

Unless you consider the Medical Center or Museum District/Rice University rough parts of town.

It was dark and I was alone, so I guess I was quick to be cautious. They were saying it was a 4 hour wait for the metrorail and I figured I could walk back quicker than that.

There are definitely some shady areas between Reliant and downtown. The area around Reliant is not great, and the area between Hermann and downtown on San Jacinto are rough too. I lived in that area and I'd certainly be cautious if I was walking alone at midnight.

With no zoning, it's a crap shoot. It's not like the good areas are gated.

That and they only beat Auburn in the bowl game last year because Auburn no longer resembles an SEC team.
