Exactly. I'm absolutely positive any team in the west would have won the east last year.

What a ridiculous comment. You are brainwashed if you honestly think that.

Pretty sure UGA was a dropped catch (Terrance Edwards) away from a shot at the Natty. That’s the narrative UGA thinks of when 2002 is discussed

The outside narrative from other teams? Why should we GAF? UGA won the SEC in convincing manner. Mizzou? Been there twice and neither was close.

Poor Terrence Edwards. One of our best all time receivers, but many Georgia fans will pretty much remember the easiest catch he ever had - that he simply dropped - that may have cost us a shot at the title.

I have a very good friend, huge Georgia fan, that still hasn't forgiven him. He doesn't know him as Terrence Edwards. It's always Terrence Dam* Edwards to him.

Responding to OP, not gonna read 5 pages of bullshite.

The narrative in 2002 was that the internet didn't exist in it's current form, so there wasn't that much of a narrative in the way you think about narratives today.

But the haters said that Richt brought his dirty tactics from Bowden at FSU and we started getting the name Thugga.

Is all of this anti-southern libel stemming from the fact you know that you and your team belong in the Big Ten and secretly wish you were there?

Precisely. Yankees for life, you damn hillbillies!!

Great offensive line in 2002, then rebuilt another great offensive Line in 2005. All you need to know about Georgia history. Lol

UGA won the SEC in convincing manner.

It took a fluke offside penalty against the kicking team (something about as rare as the kick 6) to force a re-kick (first one down around the 20) that Fred Gibson took to the house. Won by three against a 6 loss Clemson team.

Needed "the strip" which Pollack himself said just by luck happened to end up in his hand as he was going for the sack to squeak by 5-8 South Carolina 13-7.

Faced an Alabama team with out their starting QB , Center, RB, and Punter. UA had 2 TD's called back that day. One of them a fumble recovery for a TD called back because UGA was flagged for a false start. Talk about a break, get the TD erased and get the ball back because of your own penalty. Pretty big in a game decided by 2 points.

Got by 5 loss UT playing without starting QB Clausen by a whopping 4 points.

UF had 5 losses......nuff said

Pretty dominant over 7-5 Mississippi and Kentucky, as well as 2-10 Vandy.

Had the good fortune of playing 5 loss Arkansas rather than a Bama team with everyone other than RB Galloway back from injury in the SECCG.

Beat 5 loss FSU by 1 TD with 3rd string QB Fabian Walker taking the snaps(Chris Rix & Adrian McPhereson suspended).

Seems a lot less like convincing and more like fortunate that all the breaks went their way. '13 AU would probably be jealous.

2003 UGA skulldrags this team.

Hey dipshit, name one team that didn't need a break to win 13 games in a season? I was talking about the SECCG, go check that box score for me. Then re-read my OP

Came across to me as you meant the run throughout the season.
Big difference in a break and a season full of them.

2003 UGA came close to winning 13 with no breaks , they were just Damn good. It's always griped me that they were overshadowed by the '02 bunch but at the end of the day people remember hardware.
