Technically, I guess you are right but one of those doesn't really count because the SEC was so down and y'all got so lucky.

So I guess it shouldn't be hard for you to do it, right?

OOPS. You had your shot and averaged giving up 51 points each time.

Think before you post.

When you draw a 9-5 Arkansas team? Or when no team in your division finishes ranked?

No, it shouldn't be. That's what I'm saying.

Why? They had an easy run through the division, lost to an 8 win Zook squad, and drew a layup in Atlanta? Looks like they got pretty lucky iyam.

Certainly was. Worst it's been this century, and there isn't an argument to the contrary. Georgia was the only good team, and to top it all off the West was shite as well.

Says the person, that I guarantee didn't follow the SECE that year.

You have given up an average of 51 points in the two SECCGs you had the privilege of playing in.

The ONLY way to explain this is that you sucked. Bad. Each time.

Please - address this. Not one Mizzou fan has. Thanks in advance.

They were there because of Ronnie Brown's ankle. That was the most painful loss I've seen in person until the fsu game.

You could say that if they were squeaking by but those final three games they were hammering teams. And it's not like OSU or Miami played a tougher SOS. Miami edged a FSU team Georgia stomped and OSU nearly lost to a 7-6 Purdue team.

As for Florida, up until recently Florida has had our number and Greene did not play the entire game and Shockley was pretty bad

You should just stop talking in general, since you apparently know nothing about grammar. Stupid Southerner.

How's about quit losing your division to a team that's given up 101 points in back to back championship games? (Despite your claim of 102 points allowed, 59+42= 101 you stupid fricking southerner)

Is all of this anti-southern libel stemming from the fact you know that you and your team belong in the Big Ten and secretly wish you were there?

Geez, so much wrong with teh mizzoutards (or I guess I should rather just say the OP) in here. My Lord.

quote:

They played in the worst East division in this millennium

You didn't even get 1 sentence in and you're already embarrassing yourself. 2010 was FAR worse for the east than 02. 02 had 4 teams (66%) go 7-5 or better. 2010 had 2 (33%). In fact, only 2 teams in 2010 had WINNING records. 2010 had 1 ranked east team, SC at #22. 2002 also only had 1, but it was us at #3. I know you like to play contrarian and attempt to be funny, but if you can look at the above and still claim 2002 was weaker, then just log off and go ahead and end it.

quote:

it was also the worst the West has been as they faced a 9-5 Arkansas team in Atlanta.

Arkansas only represented the west because of alabama probation issues. Bama won 10 games and was ranked around 10th. "Weelllll, if only UGA had played bama THEN we'd know for real!" Oh, wait....we did play bama that year...in tuscaloosa....and won.

We doubled up their score in the 2nd half and the game wasn't even really close. Then we fiddlefarted around and let them take the lead with a few minutes left. So, we proceeded to run the ball down their throats into FG range and kick the game winner. Then on their very next play we intercepted. Pretty clear who the better team was.

Oh oh well...still, arkansas sucked! Auburn won 9 games too and would've been a much better test! Probably, but we also played them that year...in auburn...and won. Not to mention, when we did play arkansas we bitch slapped them around, kinda like how missouri was this year. So nobody was questioning if we belonged.

quote:

Were they considered a lucky team that year?

In what regard were we lucky? We faced Clemson and tech OOC and won both (unlike missouri this year, indiana lol), there weren't any games that looked like we didn't even belong on the field (unlike missouri this year, 34-0 lol), and towards the end of the year we started juggernauting our way through everyone. We also doubled up our opponent's score in a BCS bowl and finished ranked 3rd.

So basically....although it's clear to anyone with a brain cell that you were simply trying to compare your shitty missouri teams of late with 02 UGA, there really isn't any comparison at all other than both teams won the east. And that's pretty much where the comparisons end.

Missouri played what was probably the worst OOC schedule in the SEC and lost one on those.... to that powerhouse INDIANA. You guys played the 2 worst teams from the SECW last year also. You guys have yet to play any of the big 3 from the SECW in Bama, LSU and Auburn.

So yeah no matter how you want to spin it you came into the SEC at the perfect time and had the perfect schedule on top of that.

You guys are really sensitive.

That was a really good UGA team. If T. Edwards doesn't get a bad case of the drops they play Miami in the national championship.

And they got to play Arkansas because of Logan Young's checkbook.

The Georgia defense in 02 was one of the best defenses of the last century. David Pollack was a fricking monster. Just remember, you got shut out by an average UGA defense. The 02 team would have put in backups in the 1st quarter.

They played Alabama in 2012 I believe & got slaughtered & again in the 2014 SECCG when they got beat soundly. They played Auburn in the SECCG & had the most rushing yards allowed ever.
