My first was arguably one of the greatest of all-time: 1969 Ole Miss vs Alabama at Legion Field. Alabama won, 33-32

Thanks for the response. Sometimes we old "geezers" have to drop in to show we know what a computer is.

Appreciate the response from a fan of my second favorite team. I recall the first game Coach Bryant coached against LSU at Bama. LSU won. Don't recall the exact score, but Bama only came up with a field goal. (I think!)

LSU cs Texas A&M in the 90s. It was when the west upper deck was under construction.

I remember reading about this in the history page of another LSU site and also in the book 'Fighting Tigers' by Peter Finney.
Coach Bryant's first game vs LSU was LSU's national championship year of 1958. The game was played in Mobile, and I believe the score was somthing like 13-3 or 10-3. I wanna say it was the first game of the year also.

That MAY have been the same day as my first game (Oct. 25 1969 Auburn at LSU), because I remember riding home down I-10 to Kenner after the game and hearing something about a duel between Archie and Scott Hunter...

-NFL 1978,Saints vs Falcons-Saints were up 17-6 at the 2:00 minute warning. My family left and found out later that Atlanta scored, recovered an onside kick, and then scored again on a Hail Mary to win in regulation.
-NCAA Basketball 1985,#2 Memphis St vs USM- Keith Lee, William Bedford and the Tigers destroyed the Eagles led by Casey Fisher and Kenny Siler
-MLB 1999, Reds vs Cardinals-Greg Vaughn's 3 run first inning bomb led my Reds to an 8-5 victory
-NCAA Football 1988, Ole Miss vs Florida -Emmitt Smith and the Gators beat Wesley Walls and the Rebs 27-15 on a hot, humid night in Jackson

10/4/1980. Coach Bryant's 300th win. It was against Kentucky. I went with my uncle. I remember seeing the students dressed in blazers and ties and thinking how cool and mature they looked. Now I see them and think "that kid has to be 15."

Mizzou beat the Children of the Corn (Nebraska) 13-12 in 1973.

Okay, we are the conference newbies. Get over it.

Oh, we also beat Ole Miss and Auburn that same year but I did not attend those games.
