Do we need a championship totals reminder at this time?

tFLAGSHIP has a "few".

I think most will agree that, while badminton is a fun game, this forum is primarily devoted to football and all conversations here are assumed to be on that topic unless stated otherwise.

A&M is a good pick. A very good pick.

If by "A&M is the new Arkansas" you mean "A&M will be hyped to the point that they will become annoying to fans of other schools and a significant number of borderline-retarded posters will surface on the board", then I agree.

If by "A&M is the new Arkansas" you mean "A&M will start next year in the top 10 and then fail to make a bowl game," then you are smoking crack.

There is no reason to think A&M will be bad next year. None at all.

I think it will be Auburn after the Petrino hire.

It will look something like this:

1) BMFP is nothing but a winner
2) Look at our recruiting classes, derp.
3) Some historical stat that has nothing to do with anything, like tater tot's undefeated first season or something.

Can't wait.

I'm pretty sure the OP means the former. He's talking about the offseason, not next season.

Yup that's the point.

You guys should be good next year barring a Sumlin getting in a motorcycle accident in NW Arkansas...

... although TAMU is losing some good OL and I suppose the beast Damontre Moore...

This is the very picture of wishful, delusional thinking. First, we might not lose either tackle. At worst, we lose only Luke, because Matthews will almost certainly be back. Second, even if we lose Luke, we are only losing 4 starters on offense. Our offense is going to be insanely good next year.

This is the very picture of wishful, delusional thinking. First, you might lose both tackles. At worst, you lose Matthews because Luke will certainly be gone. Second, even if you lose Matthews, you are losing 5 important starters on offense. Your offense is going to take a step back next year.

I doubt it.

They should be silent for a while - 0-8 will do that to you (first-hand experience).

I would go with every team that has a new head coach next year.

Stages of new coach hire
1. Why did we hire X? Y is a much better coach/better fit, etc.
2. X actually might be a great hire. I hear he is bringing Z in as an assistant/recruiter.
3. X is a great recruiter! The only recruits he lost are replaceable. Did you hear about the sleepers he found?
4. X sure is running things right during spring practice. The only reason the offense/defense is not doing well is because the defense/offense is so great!
5. X is really connecting with alums/fans! He is a great fit and high school coaches practically push their stud players to sign with XU.
6. We are hearing great things this fall practice. It is a matter of days until the Clearinghouse clears the JC player A to practice. He will be a great starting left tackle and the freshman currently slated to start can redshirt this year.
7. Why aren't we ranked! We will win 9 at least. I hope attendance doesn't suffer because of the blowouts in the non-conf games.
8. First game is finally here, everyone will now see how smart we were with our coaching hire. All the other fans of XU on the rant will finally be vindicated.
9. Why did we hire X? Y is a much better coach/better fit, etc.
REPEAT
