If true, Mullen not only doing the right thing, he is doing the smart thing. Let everyone see the coach punish the kid without waiting for media or ncaa or sec bringin the heavy heat on him. We also will never know what kind of conversations he and his staff have had with him about this in the past which could impact his decision.

Other team's players do bad things, so it is OK that ours do as well. What he did was inexcusable, I kind of like MSU and can't stand LSU and I can clearly see that was two dirty plays. The only good thing I saw is that if the geometry would have been a bit different on the later stomp he would have rolled his ankle and possibly blown his knee. The best education is often self taught.
He should be suspended for at least the ATM game and maybe further when prior conduct is considered.
