Put in Atlanta or just rotate it. There are literally 10 to 15 places in Fla.
Downtown Disney, Brighthouse Field in Clearwater, JetBlue Park in Ft. Meyers.

I think yall assume that Bama fans are lobbying hard for the game to stay in Hoover. I dont particularly like going to the Met. Id be perfectly fine with the game rotating.

Did you see that stadium today? There were about 50 people for Mich St/Illinois.

That's what the crowds look like for almost every LSU, Ole Miss, State, Arky.............home games. They're only getting big crowds for their conference tourney.

That's embarrassing for the SEC. I had no clue any B1G teams would show up like that.

I can PROMISE you that crowd is 80/20-Omaha/B1G

that's coming from someone who lived in omaha for 8 years. That city desperately clings to any hint of a decent sporting event.

Memphis is NOT an SEC town. Hard to get fans to travel to a baseball tournament when your team could be out in one game. There needs to be a good fan base locally. LSU, MS ST, Ole Miss, Bama, AU, Tenessee and GA all have plenty of alums in Bham to support their teams, if they would just get off their rumps and get out there.

Oh, and you see how well the SEC basketball tournament worked in Orlando.(not so much) Atlanta is not a great fit either. Athens is not that far away, but when has GA been any good in baseball?

SEC Tourney needs to stay right where it is.

Just because it's semi-well attended, doesn't mean it can't do well elsewhere/be a better experience for player/coaches/fans.

Frisco would be a great branding opportunity for baseball programs trying to recruit in a metroplex of 6 million people.

Why not Nola?

I would think Nola would be the equivalent of Omaha/Big10. Put it right in the middle of your biggest baseball fan base and a desirable location for everyone else.

I agree though....Hoover is an awful choice. I do not agree that Memphis would be a good choice tho...it would have lower attendance than Hoover IMO.

Been saying for years that the SEC tourney should be in Memphis. Nashville, Myrtle Beach, Pensacola, and N. Gwinnett all have minor league parks and entertainment options that would be a draw.

Don't market to your base. You have to be forward thinking. The Lone Star State is the smartest choice.

Yes it is. Less than hour from Ole Miss

Huge alumni base from school like Arkansas, MSU, Bama, and Tennessee.

Autozone is an awesome place to watch a baseball game.

Which is why having the tourney a block from Beale Street could really help.

What???? I was born and raised in the Memphis metro and currently work for the City. There are probably as many Ole Miss fans as Memphis State fans in Memphis....Also, There are many Arkansas, Bama, UT, State, LSU, and Auburn fans. The Memphis metro area includes several counties in Arkansas and Mississippi,, as well as Tennessee.
I remember going to an Arkansas vs Memphis Tiger baseball game 3 years ago at Autozone.. It was a sea of red sold out to Arkansas fans. I probably didn't see 10 Memphis fans in the whole stadium. Go Hogs!! Autozone would be rocking if the SEC tourney was in Memphis!

Every time I see a map of the SEC I wish we had a school in NC not in Missouri.
