Stupid polls. They shouldn't come out anyway to at least later in the season.
LSU #5 loses to what was an unranked Wisconsin team which beats LSU and now jumps to #10. So in reality we loss to the #10 ranked Wisconsin team on the road and we fall all the way from #5 to #21

I advise you make your own rankings if you really are so upset. AP means absolutely nothing. It's just media generated bs for the media to talk about

If currently #1 Alabama wins 11 or 12 games and the SEC title, they'll be in the playoff. If Bama loses 2 or more games they won't. If they lose 5 games they'll be unranked and go to a Music City tier bowl.
By the same token, if currently unranked South Carolina wins 11 or 12 games and wins the SEC title, they'll be in the playoff. If they lose a few they won't. If they lose 5 they'll be unranked and go to a Music City tier bowl
Everyone is in the same boat in terms of controlling their destiny. The polls won't have any bearing, they will just try to reflect what happens after the fact. It's literally just for chit chat
