We won in Tuscaloosa with everything on the line. You think that Alabama could do that at LSU?

Bama played great, but in the 4th qtr you could see they were beginning to collapse, just plain exhaustion. A 5th qtr would have gone to LSU 14-0.

Alabama made waay too many mistakes to win any game against a decent opponent.

I definetly believe we did not see the best of either team. It was a sloppy game, but LSU made less mistakes and executed on special teams.

It will be interesting to see LSU moving forward at the qb situation. With the way Jordan Jefferson played in the game they aren't nearly as balanced as before with Lee in the game. I think they need to go back to Lee to not lose against teams they will execute better than bama did last night.

At what point have I bashed LSU for anything? They beat Alabama. Congrats. But don't act like we couldn't have won. I just think that both teams are great and either could be the other. Since we generally only play once in a season, that's all we have to go by. I don't understand all the hate and nose rubbing going on.

My summary:

1. LSU is the better team. On a neutral field or in a rematch in NOLA, LSU wins by 7-10.

2. LSU has the better defense. I never even felt bama was a threat to score. I remember responding to texts from my gump buddy and EVERY time bama crossed midfield I kept telling him Bama would be settling for a FG or punting. I never felt like bama was any sort of threat at all to get in the endzone. As soon as bama would get anywhere close to the redzone (around the 30), LSU's Dline would immediately blow up bama's entire oline, knock them in the backfield and cause negative plays. I bet Bama had 8 runs for negative yardage after crossing midfield. LSU Dline imposed their will on bama's oline every time they needed too.

2. Bama's offense while no threat to score was more effective moving the ball due to Lee totally falling apart. As far as the offenses go, I think Bama's played a bit better just because Lee nearly gave the game away on a near pick 6 and bama's O was severly handicapped by stupid coaching (more on that later).

3. Special teams - Won the game for LSU. There just was not enough of a difference between the two teams on offense and defense and BOTH defenses were too far superior to the offenses. Not surprising special teams won the game with two defenses that are unbelievably good.

4. Coaching - The hat by "miles". Bama's gameplan was an utter joke. I mean it was really really pitiful. It was obvious after the first quarter LSU's dline was far superior to bama's oline and bama could not run. Still bama stubbornly thought they could wear down LSU by running which is stupid on an epic level considering LSU rotates 8 Dlinemen and has the deepest most talented line in the country. Bama needed to throw short passes esp on first down and ball control through the passing attack. It is unreal how epically stupid bama's gameplan was.

Otherwise the OP was fine.

Weren't you out for revenge this year? In case you didn't know, we aren't losing that much. We'll beat Alabama again for the third time in a row.

I don't remember who it was on ESPN but guy was saying if Alabama loses to LSU there will not be a rematch. But if LSU had lost there would have likely been a rematch. The decider being it was because Alabama was playing at home. I realize that's his opinion etc but how would that be any more fair? I mean it's not often there are 2 teams in the same year that are this damn good. I personally would like a rematch just to see how it would play out.

I wasn't for a re-match before the game, however it was going to turn out.

But I see you think if Bama and LSU go 1-1 on the season against each other, Bama would deserve the NC and LSU would not for some reason.

Dumb.

I keep hearing how our gameplan was terrible yadda ya. I'd like to hear what we should have done other than what we did. It was 9-6 for crying out fricking loud, decided in overtime, what more could you want? The game lived up to it's hype.

Bama D is better than LSU's D- not much but better. Offense's are close but I will give Bama the edge.

Bama fans keep spewing this crap but did you happen to watch the overtime? All-out raping, do depth and conditioning not factor into your assessment?

The LSU fans I met Sat. night after the game where very subdued. At the airport today, no one was talking smack. Very unusual for the LSU crowd. I believe they know they were lucky as hell to win.

People were gracious after a hard fought win and you twist that into a moral victory?

Okay.

So your not wanting to play LSU again, is . . . sportsmanship? But . . ., okay, I'm lost.

See above for background:

Caveman analysis of game:

Warriors from Red elephant and Corndog territories underwent epic battle in Red Elephant territory. Unbiased caveman could not determine who was winning as the battle was so intense. Red Elephant supporters seem to have felt their warriors performed better, but both sides looked equally bloodied and bruised. Caveman did notice that long range foot warriors for the Red Elephants did not attack accurately, while the Corndog tribe foot warriors were hurting the other side throughout the battle. Unbiased caveman feels that this caused Corndog nation to prevail/Red elephant nation to fail.

Caveman cannot understand why Red Elephant nation cannot devote more resources to find better foot warriors as their territory includes many long yet short haired cavemen who attack cave woman pretty good (but apparently not enough with feet). Caveman feels smaller, angry appearing tribal elder of the Red Elephants will try to fix this as his tribe reports that they get the best cavemen warriors each year? Corndog nation will follow closely, but Red Elephant nation appears to be cutting off lines of communication in the fallout of the loss. Corndog nation collectively feels we will hear from them again so Red Elephants can tell us how great their new crop of caveman warriors are.

In the meantime, caveman hear Red Elephant nation planning future potential ambush in Corndog territory. Caveman feel Corndog nation will have a decided advantage if played near bend in Great River. However, Corndog nation will graciously allow Red Elephants to do battle with the big tooth Blue Bronco tribe as they have been staking claim to mutual property of Red Elephants and Corndogs...

I ... We beat you in your house. You would have been lucky to win. Oh and our D is better(Mo Claiborne was easily the best D player on the field with Barron a distant 2nd), made stops every time it counted, that is the reason your kicker was kicking from his 50 every try. GTFO with this bullshite!

Your hatred of Alabama is showing. What more was Alabama suppose to do? It was 9-6 for Christ's sake. When special teams are a massive advantage for one team over another in a close game, it usually ends this way.

Just for your sake I hope there is a rematch. Also your reading comprehension skills are abysmal. I was only qouting and inquiring about what the "talking head" on ESPN said.

Amen to that... all the LSU Fans around me were polite, cordial & engaging with those nice Bammers, several sitting to my right were taunting LSU fans, into the first 5 minutes of the game - he screemed out F'd ALL LSU FANS, even the gumps sitting around were embarrassed. And the LSU fans around made eye contact when the next delusion Bama did or said something provacative. I was ready to go head to head with this idiot muscled up dudem but he left ahead of everyone when the game was done. No Excess celebration for our fans, we were in the minority and acted with class. So glad we didnt have to hear RAMMER JAMMER...god awful pitiful insult to visiting teams. Saban should help them a bit more w/how they treat guests. He has clearly adopt many of our pre-game celebrations and taken them to BAMA. These things were our traditions that BAMA uses now. I don't think I ever want to visit as a LSU fan at BDS again. It would have been more fun at home a party or bar.

Bama also has a kicker that missed 4 field goals. Wonder what people would be saying had we made just ONE of those. Wouldn't have even been overtime. Provided the rest of the game would have played out the way it did. Congrats to LSU.

Dude, they were from the other side of the county. Not ome 22 yard chips. Yalls offense couldn't move the ball into a short field. That is why you lost. That and we ran it when we needed all second half.

Win the trenches, win the game.

You forgot we have the better D. You have the best offensive football player in the country and only scored 6 points. I know we only scored 9 but we do not have a TR on our team.
