Is Stephen F Austin that legit?

Here's a yahoo writeup on them

quote:

Following tough non-conference losses to Xavier and Baylor, the Lumberjacks won 28 of their next 29 games en route to the Southland regular-season and tournament titles. Stephen F. Austin has few flaws offensively. It's first in the nation in assists per game (17.8), which helped it shoot an impressive 49.1 percent from the field and score 79.5 points per game (ninth in the country). A 6-4 junior, Thomas Walkup (15.7 PPG, 6.4 RPG 3.7 APG) leads the team in scoring, shooting 57.1 percent from the field. Excellent passing helps make up for their lack of size down low. 6-9 senior forward Jacob Parker (14.1 PPG, 5.6 RPG) is the tallest player in their starting lineup, and the Lumberjacks don't rebound well. Stephen F. Austin pulled a 12-5 upset in the tournament last season.

They're 29-4, but 3 of the losses were in a row in November (UNI, Baylor, Xavier). Tehy've been demolishing teams the last month.

SFA is really solid. Great guard play. Thomas Walkup is one of the best guard in the nation. Shooting something crazy like 55% from the field.

After yesterday this doesn't seem like that much of an upset

But seed wise it would be a big upset. And, for all we know, Ole Miss may have blown their wad in the play-in game.

Ole Miss over Xavier

Baylor over Arizona

UNI over Louisville

BSU/Dayton winner over Providence

SFA over Utah

That's about as daring as I got.
I almost took Arkansas over Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 but if the Hogs get that far I'm sure we won't be able to pressure the Big 10 media darlings like we like to. Cal's refs will probably have instructions for that game as well!!

Whew! That UNI over Louisville pick is pretty bold!

I'm pretty sure Cal would rather play Arky than Wisky...

yes UNI over Louisville is bold.... just don't think Louisville has the chemistry they had last couple of years. Plus having the player kicked off hasn't helped that. 'ville probably beats them by 20 just because I picked the upset.

I would pee myself if LSU got past Nova and went up against uni in the sweet 16. At that point I'd say frick it LSU is going to the final four. UVA isn't what they are thought to be and Oklahoma can lose to anybody on any given night

Now LSU has to get past NC State first, which I'm not too sold on them doing honestly

I've got some mild chaos in the first round or two, but beyond that I've things settling down. Couldn't help but put all 4 seeds in the Final Four. Going to have to grow a pair and change that.

Pretty sure this country might go into a recession if Kentucky doesn't make the Final Four.

From your lips to God's ears.

I like EWU over GTown and Buffalo over WV.
Texas to the Sweet 16 as well.
