Food- Restaurant Tyler, The Veranda, The Grill, The Camphouse, 2 Brothers, Stagger In, Bulldog Burger

any of the above will be good

Nightlife- The cotton district, rick's, cowbells, Dave's, The Beer Garden, or Upstairs at Tyler

All in all, it's an SEC college town that is in the middle of nowhere (like most other SEC schools). If you don't have fun in Starkville it's probably because you have a hard time having fun at most places. If you haven't been in a decade (or ever) I would imagine that it will surpass your expectations.

Byram area

Byram is south Jackson, and the only thing good about it is I-55 runs through it.

There's a rendering plant about a 1/2 mile from where he tried to put those restaurants. Wonder why they failed?

That's a good place to put a rendering plant too.

Eat at Anthony's in West Point, or at the Veranda. Pick up sloots at Rick's or Cowbells.

I agree. I've been to Starkville 3 or 4 times, each time it was delightful. Nice people, good food, good time.

That's because you actually went instead of others posting on here. Sure, it's not big city, the town was built around the college. But I always have a blast meeting foes who travel. Always a good time.

I made the commute from Oxford in 96 as a freshman. Went out, boring as shite so I got drunk as shite, ate at Krystal's, threw up in the Freshman dorm parking lot and then drove straight back to Oxford in the middle of the night. Only other time I went back was for a Widespread Panic concert

I hope there's a lot of earplug stores to shop at there because I couldn't stand listening to the cowbells.

Starkville gets a really bad rep from other fan bases, but it isn't bad at all.

I enjoy myself when I go there.
