Is that the criteria? We must know someone? How about their actions? A link used to work..
1)Blow off his hometown and homestate (Senior Bowl)
2) Throw his teammates under the bus
3) Condescending remarks about Johnny Football
4) Skips Tennessee meeting
5) Condescending attitude about how good he is
6) Report of fellow teammates not liking him.
Not going to the Senior Bowl in his home town doesn’t explain it fully. Neither does McCarron reportedly rubbing some NFL teams the wrong way during his individual team interviews.

Those negatives would hurt. McCarron has come across at times as prickly, disinterested and condescending during interviews with the local media, but you would expect him not to display those characteristics while meeting with potential future employers.

His obvious self-confidence, a necessary and welcome attribute in a quarterback, also can bleed into arrogance. Witness his pre-draft boast about two weeks ago that he received a first-round grade “from pretty much everyone so far.”

That observation ran counter to the prevailing opinion among draft gurus and their mock drafts. It also turned out to be totally wrong.

McCarron also did himself no favors in the eyes of potential coaches and general managers as he repeatedly and publicly threw some younger teammates at Alabama under the bus after losing the last two games of his college career.

With those comments, he raised questions about his own maturity as well as his ability to take responsibility as a team leader. It allowed NFL teams to wonder just how much his teammates actually liked and respected him.

So youve never met him and base your argument on him not playing in the senior bowl. Oh, ok.

According to most NFL commentators I read or heard, AJ doesn't have an NFL arm. He was never projected by any of them to go early in the draft. He also hurt himself by not playing in the Senior Bowl. But what hurt him the most was his attitude. He bought into the Bama entitlement syndrome. Being the quarterback at Alabama might have everybody in Mobile or Tuscaloosa falling down and kissing the hem of his garment, but it means nothing to the big boys in places like New York, L.A. or Chicago.

That's what they were saying. That is what was so shocking when AJ said he was being told he had a first round grade. I didn't buy it then and I don't buy it now.

It's convenient journalism. They say that about every time someone replaces a game manager, especially one that started for so long. More often than not experience > lack of experience. The truth is that AJ sucks, and someone could come in and do way better than him. This is completely separate from his NFL potential, which is zero.

I don't think he'll do as bad as Matt Leinart.

The truth is that he was never healthy at Alabama. Which pretty much explains everything.

I want to know what he thinks he is accomplishing by saying this. The draft is over and all the words in the World isn't going to change where he was picked.

It is funny to me that all the NFL talking heads all talk about how overrated AJ is. He is just a game manager, not a leader, etc. negative, negative. Then come fall, all the talking heads will be talking about how much Alabama will miss AJ, that Alabama can not be as successful without him. So which is it? Both can not be true. Just proves it is about the story, the angle, the truth does not matter.

I agree with this and to be clear I don't much care for AJ, but your point is well made.
