Well...you can be a good college player and not be a good NFL player. So Alabama can miss him, but he can be bad in the NFL. Not sure why this is difficult to grasp.

At the end of the day, does anybody really care where the guy is drafted? Alabama's most successful NFL QB ever, was drafted in the seventeenth round! Besides, he no longer plays for, is responsible to, nor needs to worry about life at the U of A again. Let's wish him well and pull for him on Sunday, BUT keep our enthusiasm and attention pointed in the direction of Tuscaloosa and the pursuit of our next national championship.

It can be both. He can be a lot better than the QBs at Bama and them miss him but not be great in the NFL.

But a lot of the negativity from the NFL was his personality and not all his playing ability. They deal with these kids all the time and can see what might happen with them. By the way AJ has been acting with the Draft and after all he has done is act like the NFL owes him something and make excuses for why nothing is his fault.

He's an excellent college QB grading out as borderline starter material/career backup.. he just happens to be an enormous douche and bombed several interviews

This is the truth.

AJ was more than a game manager. He is the best Bama QB in the last 30 years. He was very successful and had a wonderful career.

He is a bit of a douche. He does some nice things off the field, but he is stil a douche. Not a bad person, just a bit of a d-bag.

He didn't interview well and teams have legit questions about his skill set.

He might be a good NFL QB or nothing more than a clip board holder. No one knows for sure yet. The odds that a late round pick will be a long time starter at QB are not good.

One is the NFL where being a pussy doesn't cut it in a locker room full of real men.

The other is a college full of young men who look to their coach for inspiration and leadership. AJ cried on national tv before a fricking loss. He's not a leader at the next level. No one thinks your hot girlfriend is cool in the show, they all have them.

I cringe from the "chip on my shoulder" comment. Hes acting like he knows he could have worked slit harder or concentrated more.

Great college game manager, the pris will eat his bitch arse up. Reality tv? Wtf?

Agree. I wish he would have taken a huge dose of STFU after the Sugar Bowl, played in the Senior Bowl, and just kept out of the limelight until the draft. Maybe follow the GMac model and hope that if you get drafted, can actually do more than hold a clipboard.

It is funny to me that all the NFL talking heads all talk about how overrated AJ is. He is just a game manager, not a leader, etc. negative, negative. Then come fall, all the talking heads will be talking about how much Alabama will miss AJ, that Alabama can not be as successful without him. So which is it? Both can not be true. Just proves it is about the story, the angle, the truth does not matter.

You mean like Alabama is only successful because they run the SEC office and get all the calls except for when they lose and that's because Alabama sucks and are overrated?

Look maybe if AJ sexually assaulted a girl, or stole from classmates/teammates or got shite faced and started sucker punching people in bars he would be considered a better QB but his tattoos clearly prove that he is a sub-par QB

1) Good college QB, has some skills.
2) He is a prick, he is a condescending, egotistical individual, who will NOT command a pro locker room.
3) Someone will give him an attitude adjustment soon.
