I don't think SCAR has ever lost a season opener on a neutral field that I can remember.

I only remember two.

Nice qualifier... "Dome"

Saban has not lost an opener at Bama. All of the neutral site season openers have been in Domes for Bama. Is that better for you?

Alabama has won its "big" regular season OOC game every year since 2008.

2008 - Clemson
2009 - Va Tech
2010 - Penn State (wasn't opener)
2011 - Penn State (wasn't opener)
2012 - Michigan
2013 - Va Tech
2014 - West Virginia
2015 - Wisconsin

5 of these 8 were blowouts too.

Agreed and Boise State was damned good that year.
They went 12-1 only loss was to TCU by 1 point...

They also had 7 players drafted in the NFL Draft...

2 - in 1st round
1 - in 2nd
1 - in 3rd
1 - in 5th
1 - in 6th
1 - in 7th

UGA lost at a neutral site

I wouldn't call UGA playing Boise, in Atlanta, a neutral site game.

Dude

Dooooood

Anyways, if I remember correctly, that was the first time BSU had ever beaten an SEC team. I remember a lot of hype around that game.

Seems like y'all went on to have a pretty good season - did you win the East that year?

It wasn't the season opener, but Bama lost in Jacksonville to FSU in 2007.

Forgot they played in JAX that year, Saban's first at Bama.

Won the East & went 10-4 but lost to every ranked team we played... Pretty much a Missouri type of season...
