3 10+ win seasons in the last 4 years in a BCS conference. Besides Saban and Spurrier, which coaches in the SEC had as impressive a resume as Bielema when they were hired?

I think he's an excellent coach. I just don't know if his style will work at Arkansas.

He will never accumulate the talent to win playing smashmouth, IMO...How his offense evolves will tell the story.

Arky, OM, MSU all need innovative/gimmick offenses to try to level the talent discrepancy that we will always face against Alabama, LSU, and to a smaller extent, Auburn...JMO

Do people not realize he also coached last season. The most recent season

Then why didn't ya'll fire Gary Pinkel? He apparently is not a SEC caliber coach.

In the Big Ten, Bielema went 23-1 against Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, and Purdue and 16-18 against everybody else.

I think he's a good coach, and Arkansas is a better program than Wisconsin. However, he isn't entering into a great situation and he plays in the toughest division in the country, so I'm not sold he will be able to duplicate the success he had at Wisconsin at Arkansas until he proves he can.

Because Alden is a complete dumbass.

There is no justification to keep Pinkel after the past year's on and off the field results.

If Bielema can win every game he's supposed to win and split the games against everyone else, that will mean we average 8-9 wins a year and I'll be pretty happy with that considering how tough this conference is right now.

Beating Saban and Miles at their own game recruiting from Arkansas? Lulz in my opinion. I respect him but he will fail.

I think it was a good hire but this recruiting class is going to screw him. He is really going to have to bust arse the next few years in the recruiting field to be competitive.

Wouldn't a coach that won 95% of the games against half the SEC (Ole Miss, State, S.C., Aggies, KY, Vandy, and Tenn) and be one game under .500 against Bama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, and Auburn) would be considered a pretty good coach.

What is Spurrier's, Richt, Miles, and Saban's, record against the big 6?

4 of those Ls came this past season, all either in overtime or by a field goal. pretty good record, imo.

In the SEC, Bobby Petrino went 11-5 against Ole Miss, State, Vandy, South Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.

He went 6-10 against Bama, LSU, Florida, Auburn and Georgia.

I don't think Arkansas fans were too pissed off at his results here.

Last year he had tough loses to mich st and Ohio state also. My opinion is a good coach and recruited maybe the best offensive line in cfb history.
