Remember this?
Every time Clausen would run the ball, I would pucker up and suck up part of the couch cushion in my butt. God, it was ugly. He looked like he was running in clown shoes....but he was freakin tough.

Well, of LSU's pseudo-rivals:
Ole Miss:
1959 7-3 LSU - Cannon's punt return
1964 11-10 LSU - late 2 pt. conversion
1968 27-24 OM on late 4th TD
1969 26-23 Archie who does it to us again.
Cholly Mac spurned tying FG and chance to play #1 Texas in Cotton and we lose.
2014 10-7 LSU - Classic 1960s style thriller
Tulane:
1982 31-28 Greenies in huge upset in the rain
1987 41-36 LSU
Alabama:
1979 3-0 Tide in the rain in BR
1982 20-10 LSU in Bear's last year
1988 19-18 LSU Tiffin misses 56 yard winner by in
2000 30-28 LSU in thriller in DV
2008 27-21 Bama in OT
2010 24-21 LSU holds off Tide at end
2011 9-6 LSU in GOC in Loosa
(I'd list the 2012 21-17 give-away, and the 2008 and 2014 OT losses, but they're too painful to be called "great".)

Casey was the toughest QB I've ever seen at UT. But watching him scramble was painful.
"Clausen's at the 30..........the 31".

2007 was pretty epic when #3 Mizzou took down #2 kansas at Arrowhead.
But I think the most historic win came on August 21, 1863.

1985 Iron Bowl. A well-played game all the way through with one of the most exciting fourth quarters you will ever see.
That game scarred me. In 2013, as UA was lining up for the field goal I kept thinking "Not another Van Tiffin game, please God"

I don't remember watching Clausen, but this sounds a lot like Freddie Kitchens.
I once watched Freddie Kitchens rumble for a nine yard touchdown against Ole Miss. He broke 14 tackles, picked up two delay of games, and almost got roped by a rodeo cowboy by the time he crossed the goal line.

If only he had played instead of banks in 2002, he could've beat us with 1 arm.

I'd rather not talk about it.

Wasn't Stewart Patridge the quarterback? If so, it was his senior season and last game.
He is a family legacy at MSU, but Jackie Wayne wouldn't recruit him. His dad played at MSU. His mom was an MSU class beauty. His aunt was homecoming queen, a cheerleader, and class beauty in Starkville.
I was so glad to see Stewart have the last laugh.
