The 1953 Cotton Bowl against Rice when Tommy Lewis jumped off the bench and tackled Dicky Maegle. I remember it because I watched it on tv at my grandparents' house...I don't think we had a tv then.

The first SEC game I attended was in 1958 (I think)in Athens when UGA played Auburn who were the defending national champs. I remember how massive the Auburn players looked in those all-white uniforms. Late in the fourth quarter, UGA had the ball inside the red zone and trailed Auburn by six points. Fran Tarkenton drew a play in the dirt and UGA scored with it to tie the game. The crowd went wild, a sea of liquor bottles were raised but most fans forgot that the game was only tied. UGA converted the extra point and won the game. Yep, I'm older than dirt but I do have some great memories.

Cool story. Dye and his brother played in that game, I think. Seems like the winning kick was made by a guy name Durwood Pennington.

The first actual games I remember on TV are NFL games when I was around 5 or 6 years old. My dad was a bigger NFL fan than college back then.

First college games I vividly remember was a Tennessee/Vandy game my cousins and I were watching on TV when I was a kid. After that, I remember watching the 86 Sugar Bowl when Tennessee beat Miami.

First major college football game I watched in person was the Miss. State/LSU game in Jackson in 1990. It was the next to last game State ever played in Jackson.

"The greatest game ever played" in 1958--Baltimore Colts over NY Giants. Colts, my team as a 9 year-old, won in overtime on Alan Ameche's goal line run.

Johnny U, Raymond Berry and my Colts won the championship over the Giants again in 1959.

The hook was firmly set and I became a football fan until the day I die.

First LSU game I can remember watching on tv was the 1985 Sugar Bowl loss against Nebraska. I had heard lots of games on the radio but can't remember any of them specifically.

The first game I attended was the 1997 UF game.

I've been going to high school games basically since I was born. But my first LSU game was against bama in 04 I believe? It was the one where we missed two extra points in the game. And my first professional game was when the Saints played the Eagles. No clue what year that was. Early 2000's. The only thing I remember from that game was when we took the opening kickoff back only for it to be called back

First game I remember noticing that LSU was playing was LSU vs Auburn 1998, I was 6. First game I remember watching from start to finish was LSU 2001 SEC Championship game against Tennessee, Dominick Davis immediately became my favorite player.

Alabama Tennessee in 1945 (age 12). Harry Gilmer the star. Don't remember the score but Bama won.

Football was always just "there". I don't really remember a definite game.

You arent really. (Though I have no idea how many years you have been around.) This will be my 71st year of Bama football, with a few out for Army time. Am a tv follower now, but season tickets from 1962 to 1999. Moved to So Car for grandkids.

I remember a few names from earlier in the 40's, but no real memory of games except listening on the radio.
