Nope...Johnny's first season was '77. That '77 game was Fran Curci's last game at Kentucky

Must have been 1976.

Curci was a fine coach.

The date was December 1, 1989, and the game was the 1989 Alabama 5A State Championship. Oxford vs. Smiths Station at Lamar Field in Oxford, AL.

I was two years and almost seven months old. Not only is this my first football memory, it is my first memory period.

I'm pretty sure the 1992 Iron Bowl is my first Alabama football memory though.

First LSU football game for me was when LSU upset number one Florida in 1997, I was 8 years old and went with my dad and older brother. It was AWESOME! We rushed the field and I got separated from my dad and almost trampled over by people but it was still AWESOME!!

Miss state vs. Ole miss 2001. Really only because my stepdad was one of them people who get really emotional over sports. He is a state fan and if i remember right ole miss was winning up in till the very last minute, so he broke the radio that he was listing to it on. And had to hurry up and fix it and once he got it back on was about the time state came back and scored a touchdown and beat ole miss. 1st game I really cared to get into or remember.

Joe Namath and the Tide against Texas in the Orange Bowl. Lost on the one foot line. I cried for a week. I was 10.

Probably the '93 WLOCP. I was 7 years old and I went with my parents on a day trip. My family is pretty old school and back in the 70s and 80s apparently that was a thing people did...leave early in teh day, go to game, come back. Anyways...I stayed in the hotel with grandparents while the adults went to the game.

I remember it being an absolute monsoon (only reason I know it was '93, otherwise I'd have no idea) and I distcintly remember one specific play late in the game where we had a guy catch a pass in hte back of the endzone but was ruled/pushed OOB and it didn't count.

Was that the one OM jumped out like 21-0 and Alabama stormed back curb stomping them?

I was at that game too. Bama took a 24-21 lead after being down 21-0, and the Rebels mounted a drive that ended inside the Tide 20 yd line with a field goal attempt. it was blocked and returned for a touchdown. I still believe if that field goal wound have been successful, the game would have probably went to the wire. you could actually hear the air deflate from the whole stadium at that block.

Kentucky v LSU in the mid 80's back when we always played each other. Claiborne v Arnsparger I think. Don't think Archer was there yet, I could be wrong. I just remembered it rained like a sonofabitch and that we beat LSU'S arse.

Kentucky went 2-8 against LSU in the 80s. They won 27-21 in Lexington in 1989 with Archer as coach and won 21-13 in 1983 in Baton Rouge with Jerry Stovall as the coach

I remember bits and pieces of many games prior to this one, but the first game I remember in its entirety was the Texas A&M v. Auburn game in the '86 Cotton Bowl. Ten years old and just getting into football. Even though A&M won, Bo Jackson was amazing that game.

I remember Super Bowl 4 n 1970. I was 8. Chiefs beat the Vikings.

I'm sure I watched much earlier than that. My Dad was a Sports fan.

Vanderbilt vs Kentucky when I was a kid. Don't remember much about it except that it was the 80s. Some would consider that child abuse.

LSU at Alabama
Legion Field Birmingham

LSU 7 Alabama 16

First game I ever saw in person. Second row from top of the upper deck. Spent almost as much time looking down from the top of the deck as watching the game.

I remember that a 2 loss season was the end of the world. As a Bama fan, I sure had it rough.
