Congrats putting up yards on our defense. Auburn still got beat down.
?

Do you mean yards and points? Alabama hardly beat Auburn down, winning the game by 11 points. Which, in that game, is a play or two away from a lead or narrow point gap. Auburn's defense sucked and couldn't stop anything last year, yeah, but Gus Malzahn has exposed Alabama's defense two years in a row and 3 out of the last 4 years they have played (2010, 2013 and 2014). A hire like Will Muschamp will theroetically improve our defense and should give us a better chance to win.

of course the defense is going to wear out and give up some points.
just like it's been wearing out at Auburn because you guy's score to quick. We'll see how it turns out.

Seeing is believing for me.

And still scoring while gaining chunks of yards, correct?

Neither Alabama nor Auburn (fans) are scared of the opposing defensive coordinator, even though both are damned good and among some of the best in all of college football.

Yes, but when was the last time you guys beat us by 11 or put up 55 points?

Who cares if you win by 1 or 40?

As my original post states, Alabama hasn't been able to stop Auburn in 3/4 last meetings. The one time they did, it was against one of the least talented starting units I have ever seen come through Auburn.

Again, Auburn fans aren't scared of Nick Saban or Kirby Smart, and Alabama fans aren't scared of Will Muschamp.

I do believe that Lawson coming back full strength will be huge for that defense.

He's something else.

Hopefully. Auburn's front 7 should be their strength, as it should be for Alabama.

Auburn's limited depth at cornerback is a cause for concern with me, though.

Jay Jones? Foot surgery
TJ Davis? Torn ACL
Tim Irvin? Broken hand
Joe Turner? Processed from team
Kam Melton? He sucks
Michael Sherwood? Walk-on

The only ones that can really be relied on, when healthy, are Josh Holsey, Tim Irvin (maybe), Jay Jones and Stephen Roberts.

Having said all that, I'm going to get a couple beers and get started on drinking the pain away.

Of the 2014 IB?

You realize Auburn had the lead at the beginning of the 4th, right? And led the entire 3rd?

auburn was down 19 points with 21 seconds to go. I realize this game was not a blowout, but pointing to a bunch of offensive yards and an 11 point final score differential doesn't make it a draw. Alabama won, and won decisively.

It is pretty hard to say you dominated a game when your defense gave up like 700 yards

Congratulations on not being dominated. I was biting my nails at the end, hoping you wouldn't be able to come up with a 20 point play.

Offensive line will be stronger, QB, Rb stronger. Our QB has started and played well in limited action
Lawson and Boom will improve defense (Turner coming back this summer)
So we improve on both sides of the ball.
Home schedule.

A lot is made of Auburn not winning 10 games in back to back seasons, BUT it is also true that when we under achieve one year (2003), we are stronger the next (2004). There are other examples.
