Eason, Fromm, and now Fields??

Listen I get the idea of wanting to compete, but how are they going to juggle that? Eason will likely transfer but why would Fields wanna go there with a true freshman looking like a superstar? I don't get it.

Eason wont be on the roster next season. Fields will be the backup unless Fromm gets hurt.

The bigger question is bama with Tua and Hurts.... but they both seem super happy with everything.

General thought among the fans seems to be that Eason is likely to transfer. Fromm starts and Fields either redshirts (if he plays baseball in his senior year), or plays in select packages since he will be our only true dual threat guy. Biggest concern next season is probably depth, since we will likely have 2 scholarship quarterbacks.

If Fields does go to Uga and if Eason does leave, it would put Uga in the same position if Fields looks as strong as Tua his freshman year.

If Eason transfers there's no way Kirby will redshirt fields unless you've got some other decent backup. Who you gonna put in during garbage time?

Eason transfers back out west. (Wassu, Washington, Oregon, USC)

Fromm settles in as starter.

They get to take their time with Fields.

Good question. I have to assume that JF and his family have already discussed this. He spoke about being good with a RS but may not necessarily *want* to redshirt. I think Hurts/Tua is a good model to look at and see how it could work... not sure we can run out to 30+ point leads consistently, but who knows.

If the intent is to RS Fields though, maybe Stetson Bennett? Would most definitely burn the redshirt if Fromm went down with a significant injury, but likely depends on what the situation is... if strictly handing off to grind clock or because Fromm's helmet popped off or something, could see that being a thing maybe...

I've heard he tears it up on Scout Team. Whether that warrants him actually playing a significant role as 2nd string remains to be seen but he apparently gives our 1st team D a tremendous look every week.

I think Fields will get meaningful snaps

Fromm will start; but Fields will play in certain situations, like Chaney's favorite, the Wildcat

develops backup; keeps competition stiff & maybe even gives us the best chance to win

The real question is what kind of ego Fields has. I don't know many five star studs in the past that are ok with waiting their turn that didn't go to Bama. Will be interesting to follow

He wouldnt have picked UGA if he had a selfish ego.

Not necessarily true. He just thinks he's gonna naturally beat out anyone. We'll see what happens when he doesn't

I'm guessing that Tua is hoping that Hurts goes pro next year which I guess he might.

Would it surprise you if Tua started over Hurts next year though....I really wouldn't surprise me that much from what little we have seen of Tua. That kid has it.

Wouldn't it be wiser to keep Eason and redshirt Fields? You all will end up with the same situation Bama is in if you don't redshirt Fields.

If Fromm keeps playing as physical as he has this year, it’s just a matter of time before he gets Easoned and JF steps up.

Next Man Up is what all the coaches talk about.

I don't think Hurts will be leaving early to go pro. His skillset doesn't match that type of decision.
