If the money was the same, I'd love for UK to be in the ACC. However, that's not going to happen.

Better idea: Merge the SEC with the ACC, kick Notre Dame to the curb, break into four 7-team pods and dominate nearly every NCAA sport.

I love that.

ACC and SEC merge

Pac 12 and Big XII merge

Big Ten and Conference USA merge

Let the Big East do whatever

Kentucky produced the founder of the SEC
Kentucky president was first leader of the SEC when it formed in 1932

Cats are not going anywhere, and certainly not to a conference with the Line Beards and Dook.

Dumb thread topic is dumb

The big selling point for the SEC is that we are pretty darn good in every sport. Losing Kentucky, particularly while Mizzou and Arkansas are on life support for MBB, downgrades the conference quite a bit.

We don't want to lose Kentucky, we want Kentucky to turn the corner in football. Frankly there is no excuse for Kentucky not going to a bowl the last two years. They might not be the East power in football but they should be able to field a perennial bowl team and while Stoops might not get them there I think someone will and soon.

What if Alabama joined the Socon? I can make jackass suggestions too.

Oh the horror!! We like basketball!!! We also like football...alot...and are perennially in the top part of the conference as an athletic department.

Commonwealth Stadium would be 4th largest in the Pac 12, 3rd in the ACC, 4th in the Big 12, and 8th in the Big Ten.

So other than a handful of schools outside of the SEC, NO ONE is as batshit crazy as some of y'all are football wise. And that's ok...but quit acting like we're some fricking outsider. We've been here since the beginning and before when the SEC and ACC were together as the Southern Conference.

Now kindly frick off and bow to your basketball overlords.

Putting West Virginia in the ACC would actually be a helpful suggestion. Let's spend our energy on that.

Kentucky is an SEC charter member and belongs nowhere except the SEC. They are also are only basketball power.

I don't really want the SEC to expand, but if we did, I would like for us to take on North Carolina and Duke. (Kentucky, Duke and North Carolina in basketball!) We would easily dominate Football/basketball/baseball. I realize we probably won't expand, and if we did it would probably be teams from two different states, but just think of the domination of all three sports!

How old are you to have an opinion like that?

12?
24?

If you are 30 or older and you hold that opinion you are the gumpiest of gumps

I bet you have participated in the running of the bumps, instead of wagering on the contestants like some bam a fans I know.
