Kevin Steele

I tried to tell LSU fans, Steele wouldn't be allowed on Clemson's campus if he paid his own way to handout gameday fliers. He's an atrocity. I've been a pretty big Malzahn defender, and I lost all respect for him when he hired Steele.

Yeah, but you're a Clemson fan and nobody cares what you have to say.

What if John Franklin III plays comparable to Nick Marshall where would you rank them in the SEC? I know some of you will troll but if JF3 does play anywhere near as good as Nick Marshall watch out. Heres what Marshall did at Auburn in two years.

Here's the problem with Franklin playing as well as Marshall:

1. We don't have the line we had in 2013. That was a damn good line that was built to push the run.

2. We don't have a train in the backfield called Prosch anymore. We have some talented guys but Prosch was the most underrated guy on the 2013 team. He cleared the road.

3. Jovon is going to be a good one but I'm not sold he is Tre Mason level yet. Mason had heart and refused to lose yards.

lsu fans believe he'll have any impact on qb play

if he coaches the WRs into mediocrity like he did ours it could very well destroy their Qbs confidence too. our stone hands crew sure as hell destroyed our completion % last few years.

They'll get a lot of really good QB play IMO.

It will just be opposing QBs giving it to them.

What if Auburn hired Coach Bryant or Coach Stallings or Coach Saban? They didn't do it so Auburn really doesn't matter.

With good QB play I would put Auburn at 5-3. Wins over Vandy, State, A&M, Ark, and one upset over either OM or UGA.

Keep in mind it took a miracle for Marshall to beat Uga once.

Aaron Murray didn't score. It took a blind ref for Georgia to ever go ahead and before Auburn took their foot off the gas we beat you up and down the field like a dog. That "miracle" was just the universe correcting a mistake for the better team to win

Who is John Franklin? Is he the starter ? I thought the white QB was decent last year when he wasn't injured . Is Franklin a Marshall clone? They could win a lot of games with a QB like Marshall but they would be lucky to win the SEC championship again with a QB that can't pass again.

He's not the starter, won't be, and definitely not a Marshall clone. Marshall had one of the strongest arms I've ever seen, Franklin has a weak arm and is a bad passer. It's only a matter of time before we move him to WR just like FSU did. White will be the starter and yes he's pretty good when his WRs aren't screwing him dropping 8 passes a game

You know we would have likely scored with 1st and goal inside the 1.

Marshall has the single game passing record for Auburn...and he did it against Alabama. He could definitely throw the ball, but he was more dangerous on the ground.

Man, just grab a backup safety and plug him in. It worked once.

God forbid someone who's watched Steele's coaching directly and knows what an abortion he is give a take on a topic.

Sorry this isn't some cow-tipping subject where a Razorback could chime in with some useful info.

JFIII is a FSU transfer via JUCO. He is faster than Marshall, but apparently not as "shifty". He has a strong arm, but has some accuracy issues ala Marshall. The biggest issue during spring ball was ball security. White is likely to start and we can probably win 7-9 games with him, but the reason most hope for JFIII is because we see no other path to a SEC title in 2016 outside of him becoming something "like" Marshall. Much like UF 7 wins and 9 wins are pretty irrelevant as an Auburn fan, we are trying to figure out how to win the SEC whether its realistic or not.

John Franklin III couldn't even start for EMCC last year.
