Georgia and Auburn were great. Bama, Florida and Ole Miss were pretty meh for me.

That's all based on personal experiences though. I know you can have fun at any.

I had a blast in Knoxville, but that's cause LSU took over the area I was at and we just had a blast. Same with South Carolina.

I'm an LSU fan. I've had the most fun at Ole Miss besides LSU...why wouldn't I like them? I don't dislike them

We have a winner.

ETA: Also, a darkhorse entry for Amherst, MA. Doesn't have the bigtime college sports thing obviously, but I have had good times there.

Amherst is a totally different animal from Oxford, MS or Athens, GA, but a fun time nonetheless.

Auburn. It has a very nice cow tipping scene.

Boulder is awesome. Not sure I would consider it a college town though.

You can have a good time/bad time anywhere but my favorite places have been:

Fayetteville
Baton Rouge
Athens
Syracuse

Athens has been my favorite trip so far. I've been to about half of the campuses.

In the SEC it's Baton Rouge or Gainesville. Neither are really college towns, though.

Really? This is surprising. Syracuse is a pretty run down place.

The college has been there since 1876, Boulder exists and has developed due to the University. It would sure help if they could repair their football program, but that town is crazy fun.

In the SEC, Athens was always my favorite town to visit.
