A much more interesting scenario would be a two-loss Tennessee team winning the SEC title with a one-loss Bama team sitting at home.
That's actually a great point. If Auburn or LSU won the west and lost to Tennessee in the SECCG, it would be really interesting to see what the committee would do

Who does the playoff committee select?
The two loss SEC champ would likely get in assuming there aren't 4 undefeated conference champs from the other power 5 conferences.
Alabama wouldn't get in unless the other power 5 conferences all produced a bunch of lackluster 2 loss champions.

Bama with one loss to either is still likely the west champ due to tie breaker rules
In this scenario, since AU (or LSU), beat bama, then AU (or LSU) would win the tiebreaker (head to head).

Teams that would definitely get into the playoff ahead of a 2-loss SEC champion:
1. Undefeated or 1-loss ACC champion Clemson
2. Undefeated or 1-loss B1G champion Michigan
3. 1-loss B1G champion Ohio State
4. Undefeated Pac 12 champion Washington
5. Undefeated B1G champion Nebraska
6. Undefeated Big 12 champion West Virginia
7. Undefeated Big 12 champion Baylor
Obviously, at least three of these will not happen, since only one team can win the B1G and only one of Baylor and WVU can go undefeated. 1 and either 2 or 3 are very likely. 4 and either 6 or 7 could realistically happen, but probably not more than 50% likely because OU may very well beat both WVU and Baylor and the Pac 12 can be bloody.
Auburn and/or LSU fans should definitely be pulling for OU and against Washington the rest of the way.
Outside of the above, there are a few others who might go ahead of a 2-loss SEC champion, but I wouldn't count on it:
1. 1-loss Pac 12 champion Washington
2. 1-loss ACC champion Louisville
3. 1-loss Big 12 champion West Virginia
4. 1-loss Big 12 champion Baylor
5. 1-loss non-SEC champion Alabama
6. 1-loss non-B1G champion Michigan
7. 2-loss B1G champion Wisconsin (if LSU is SEC champion)
1. Undefeated or 1-loss ACC champion Clemson
2. Undefeated or 1-loss B1G champion Michigan
3. 1-loss B1G champion Ohio State
4. Undefeated Pac 12 champion Washington
5. Undefeated B1G champion Nebraska
6. Undefeated Big 12 champion West Virginia
