The Ole Miss game would have been a toss-up. I can't say for certain we would have lost it with Les but we very well may have.

The first 2..

Les has played similar competition throughout his tenure here and his offenses have never put together a string like this.
coming into the bama game last year lsu had scored 45,34, 44, 45, 35, and 48 points in consecutive games, with wins over 3 sec teams including florida. They then lost to bama 30-16 and dropped 2 more in a row.

You're right, you know.

Record would have been the same. The better question would be what remaining games would Les lose . We all know LSU fans will try to act like Les would lose some of those easy games . I think they both would go 2-2 in the remaining games.

Can't argue with this at all. No one is saying LSU's offense is going to boat house Bama. We're only saying that we'll at least put up a much better fight. The real story in this game will come from the defenses. LSU's is getting SEVERELY overlooked going in to tomorrow night.

Well...do you disagree? Go back to that Mississippi State game if you need a refresher.

ETA: It was probably more Cam Cameron than Les. Les just went along with it because he liked that style of play.

Question is, would have Coach O lost to Wisky and Auburn? I don't think so.

Did you even watch LSU this year before Les was fired? It was possibly the worst looking offense he'd had at LSU. That's saying a lot. Barely outgained Jacksonville St.

OM would have beaten us and I'm not sure that Souther Miss wouldn't have too.

With no passing game, yes Les could ride LF to some big wins over lesser teams. We all know this.

There's a good chance OM at least plays LSU close. Like every year.

But one of the reasons we LSU fans were so pissed about Florida is we are anxious to see LSU against a decent defense.

The team may be 5-2 with Less but they could also be 3-4. I think Ol Piss and Mizzu would have played out like Mississippi State, a nail biter to the end.

What? Les had a top shelf offense scoring over 35 points in every game last year up to the Bama game. Y'all were on top of the world leading up to Bama and loved your offense.

Many of us did NOT love the offense last year and knew LSU was in trouble due to no passing game. If you're interested enough, there are probably dozens of threads on the topic on the Rant from a year ago.
