If we can't end the streak this year then God help us. The rant may implode.

Dooley-Kiffin and really all that came as a result (like Dooley breaking every negative record we had and setting us up to be a dumpster fire even once he was gone).

Also, people can talk about Fulmer being at the point where it was time to go and that's fine and all but here's the thing, you don't forcibly retire a hall of famer and have no one to take his place. Even if Kiffin hadn't been an immature douche, he didn't have the coaching chops or experience to warrant the job at that time and following a legend only made it worse.

Brandon Vandenberg and the rape case.

If Franklin hadn't twisted admin's arm to go against their policy of not allowing JC transfers, Vandenberg wouldn't have even made it to campus. Admin turned on Franklin after that (rightfully so) and prompted him to begin looking elsewhere.

Hard not to wonder how different the program would be now if Vandenberg had never made it to campus.

3)Only being ahead of Auburn by 9 wins in the head to head series record. An absolutely embarrassing stat for Bama considering the history of both programs. How is it not at least +20? It seems like we've literally lost that game 90 percent of the time that the score was extremely tight.

We went over 40 years without playing each other.

No one is trying to say that ALL bama fans behave that way. But some have/do. I'm merely pointing out that if my school's fans publicly behaved the same way at the same rate, I would consider it a point of shame.

Besides Harvey Updyke, none of the incidents with Bama fans are known outside of the SEC. I'm not embarrassed by it because there are so few people like that and I realize that talking about the few truly criminal Bama fans is just a way for people to take shots at a program that dominates them in football and also exceeds most schools in the SEC academically. You never heard about these people in the Dubose/Shula eras.

If you weren't so focused on trolling, you'd acknowledge that LSU fans have at least as bad a reputation.

There are way more captains of industry from Auburn than Alabama. Deal with it. We just don't do a very good job promoting it.

Contract negotiations and the resulting buyout money we have consistently had to pay out to failed coaches over the last 20 years.

R.C. Slocum: Received a 7-year guaranteed contract after winning the Big 12 in 1998, yet failing to beat t.u. with a first year head coach and failing to win yet another bowl game (Slocum was winless in bowls played on January 1st or later). Fired after the 2002 season and paid until 2006.

Dennis Franchione: frick fat fran. Received a 6-year guaranteed contract after the 2004 season; a 7-5 season that saw the first loss to Baylor since 1984 and the worst bowl loss in Texas A&M history. Proceeded to have the worst pass defense in 1-A football in 2005 (as well as a 4 TD loss at home to Iowa State), the worst bowl loss in A&M history AGAIN in 2006, and a 2007 season in which his "secret VIP newsletter" was exposed where he was selling information about his players (including medical information) to "insiders". "Resigned" after the 2007 season and paid until 2010. The last two seasons, he signed 3 total offensive linemen and 4 total defensive linemen.

Mike Sherman: Given a 4 year guaranteed contract before he even coached a game at A&M. Given a 2 year extension after the 2010 season, then proceeded to have his team give up 5 2+ score halftime leads in the same season, refuse to hire an offensive coordinator, and openly criticize the administration for the SEC move. Fired after 2011, paid through the 2013 season.

Kevin Sumlin: Given a 6 year guaranteed contract after the 2013 season. You know the rest.

Of course you are trolling but leave it to a typical LSU fan to not recognize it. Teabagging, the least criminal act on Bourbon Street every night. What a bunch of bitches...not trolling though.

Didn't y'all almost hire Urban before he went to Utah?

That has never been proven.

Supposedly, Bill Byrne wanted to hire Urban Meyer from Bowling Green, but he wasn't a "big enough name" for the donors.

Conversely, the Texas donors wanted Gary Barnett after John Mackovic was fired. DeLoss Dodds overruled them and chose Mack Brown.

Imagine having Reggie McNeal running the Urban Meyer offense in 2003 and 2004 instead of Alex Smith...

No bama basketball team ever past elite 8 and that only happened once. Heck, state even has a final four.

Yea, but y'all have a million titles in football.
And even though it worked out, I'm still not happy about y'all taking Grant.
