They seem to pull D-lineman out of there arse so I wouldn't count on them being bad.

So did LSU from 2009-2012. Now, because of attrition, Dline play is average at best. I don't care who you are, losing all 4 starters from the Dline is going to hurt.

that's always a plus. Never want to break in a guy brand new.

Again I don't know much about him, but that might be a tall order I'd think. Keep in mind Murray was pretty pedestrian his first year starting, and had fairly high highs and drastically low lows his career until his senior season, when he was lights out. If this new guy is as talented and heralded as murray (who was really highly ranked out of plant), you'd still have to expect a year of growing pains being a new starter.

Either way, like I said in my OP, I think Georgia will overall be roughly the same as this year. Anywhere from an 8-4 to 10-2 type team.

Nice...and you my canine friend have won a days pass to Disney Wonderland.

First of all and I hate to bust bubbles and not cherries, Jenkins will probably go pay for play. I don't know if Floyd is r/s soph this year but if he is...bye bye. Swain leaves, DL Drew leaves, Ramik Wilson and Herrera leave and gut your LBing corp. Five OL in the two are gone. RB Chubb has ball security issues.

I'd say fans will be after Richts scalp after 2015.

Florida will be fine...our defense will be stout and that's where we are loaded...offensively we have Treon Harris and r/s frosh Will Grier plus Driskel if he stays with football or he goes baseball. This is where out NBC (new ball coach) will be the most help. You have to expect improvement.

Schedule? Who do you guys play from the west other than AU? Hopefully its Bama and you get taken behind the woodshed

Les Miles says this is erroneous. On all counts.

It's another rebuilding year, so we'll probably win the division again.

Jenkins has already said he is staying, reports are 50/50 on Floyd with the recent feeling being that he will stay.

Wynn, Pyke, Theus, Kublanow are back on OL, and hopefully Theus is granted another year by the NCAA. Quarterback issues were addresses in my previous post. Chubb had a fumble against GT, but no, he does not have ball security issues.

Are you suggesting those returning quarterbacks are a bright spot for UF?

Hmmm I think the East will be better. However, it will probably still lag behind the West.

Some indicators
Alabama @ Georgia
Arkansas @ Tenn
Ole Miss @ Florida
Auburn @ Kentucy
I think most of these are early October so we should have a pretty good sense of them by mid-October.

I think we take a step back and finish 2nd or 3rd. We lose to much on the Dline. ..hope I'm wrong. Need Mauk to improve big time as well as our WR group.

This is huge. Mizzou will struggle on D next year.

Yeah. Just ask South Carolina...

No matter what happens, SC's defense won't be the $#!+storm it was this year.

I have to agree with you. Unfortunately, I don't think Carolina is going to be very good. We are going to suck again.

I have to hand it to Pinkel...lose some great DL and he will convert some walk on TE and he will become the next Ray. How the hell does he do it? Mizzou doesn't get a bunch of highly rated recruits...they get three stars with a lunch bucket and hard hat attitude. Virginia Tech of the SEC.

Honestly? I am more curious to see if LSU can stay out of the cellar. Maybe the other SEC West Overlords will take pity on the hapless Tigers and allow them to escape last place. I mean, the decline seems real and they narrowly escaped this year, right?

An honest assessment of each team.

Florida- Should be better offensively but depending on who all leaves early they could lose quite a bit in front 7. Secondary should be strong regardless. One of those teams that could go either way.

Georgia- Man for man they may have the most talent but I see alot of problems. Their recievers dont scare anybody. Brand new QB, lose a couple good O Linemen. D Line loses alot. I think next year is a rebuilding year for UGA but recruiting is looking really good for the future.

Kentucky- Should continue improving but dont expect them to improve enough to compete for division. Defense loses a few key players and offense needs more talent but 7-5, 6-6 probably.

Missouri- They actually have a good amount coming back overall but there are 2 areas with major losses. 1) Wide reciever: Major question, not only is experience talent a concern but overall #'s at this position might be a problem as well.
2) Defensive line: Interior Line should be fine but if Ray leaves they will break in 2 new defensive ends. For a team that relies so much on a pass rush a major drop off at DE could effect entire defense overall. Regardless of losses they may be pre season favorite.

South Carolina- Have no idea what they have at QB next year, with a good QB I think they could contend but with a bad QB they may not even make bowl. Got solid playmakers on offense just need someone to get them the ball. Back 7 should improve on defense but pass rush and overall D-Line play looks well below average on paper.

Tennessee- Have the most returning. Defense should be able to play with anybody. Key to the entire season is improvement at WR and OL. OL can't be as bad as they were this year. Any improvement at all is substantial. WR's are poorly coached and overall are an overrated group. Maybe one of those highly recruited guys will finally play to their potential. Expect them to compete for division unless O-Line continues to suck.

Vanderbilt- Return most everyone. Very young team in 14 should at least be more competitive. If they get average coaching they might win a couple SEC games. Coaching big question and overall talent.

Not sure I'd call his first year pedestrian. I think most teams would call that a successful year out of their qb.
