He knows he is a good offensive mind relative to the pro-style offense which Saban prefers. Saban obviously recognizes the advantage of the prolific offenses developed by Malzahn and Sumlin and he knows Bama needs more innovation on offense to keep pace. He's hoping Kiffin can fill that need. Personally, I don't like the hire because I think Kiffin brings more baggage than he is worth but apparently Saban is feeling a sense of urgency for improvement on offense and apparently thinks he can manage the baggage.

Yea a guy being paid 7.5 million a year is entrusting the offense of the premier program in college football to someone as a favor to his daddy. Think about that for a second.

If Kiffin is so good, why the ficus is Blake Sims the starter?

He's gonna suck. Just like pre-season Kenny Hill.

Other than the apostrophe (which I wouldn't pronounce, anyway), sure. Am I not allowed to say 'dig'?

Kiffin has more knowledge about football in his excrement after chipotle night than you would in 3 lifetimes.

He wants to go back to the NFL, but he needs Lane to distract some of the firestorm.

the saban train is definitely impressed with the lane train in camp so far>> saban insisted lane be on sidelines instead prssbox...because of how well the players respond to him face to face

Why would an NFL team hire Saban?

i can't remember what it was but there was something in kiffin's bad boy heydays that told me he respected saban or something and that told me that he was a wild azz spoiled kid who never had a real father figure and deep down inside wanted on to straighten out...now he has one

bama fans can correct me if i'm wrong but their offense has not changed much at all during the times with any previous coordinators. Which tells me kiffin is going to call the plays in nick sabans offense. His primary job IMO is to recruit.
