Death Valley in Baton Rouge is the loudest stadium I have been in.
The Swamp can be tough and when Auburn has a good team Jordan Hare can be pretty loud but LSU is the toughest in my opinion.

venues aren't tough, teams are tough.

Case in point: Florida Field for Bama. Bama got run out of there in 91 when Florida was great under Spurrier.
Fast forward to '11 and Bama throttles the Gators. Same venue.

I've never played in any of them. I did play rugby against UF and Alabama at their places. Not really apples to apples though...

The Swamp was rocking after Brantley hit Dubose for a 70yd TD on the first play of the game.
It died down in 2nd when bama took control of the game.

Completely agree. Homefield advantage is incredibly overrated.

It can effect the center and QB play calling so a hostile environment can cause the offense trouble especially if you have a young QB but do agree if the team isn't very good it's not going to help much.

Yeah top three would be TAMU, Florida & Auburn. LSU was loud but vastly overrated.

That was the loudest visiting stadium I had ever been in at that moment

But in all of these "loud" stadiums, the difference in decibels at field level is negligible. Once it gets to a certain point, it doesn't matter if it gets louder.

I was thinking oh lord 2010 South Carolina but that 11 bama defense was light years better then the 10 defense especially in the back end.

Maybe the only time I've ever been on the field was Notre Dame BCS Title game and I was in the corner sideline field seats and the ND fans never got very loud.

I've sat in the first few rows at Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida. They were all the same.

I don't like sitting down low at BDS can't see the game cause the players on the sideline.

I don't like sitting low at any stadium, but that's not what this thread is about.

The only two stadiums in which I've had to cup my ears were Sanford and Death Valley. Last year's Florida game was the loudest I've ever heard CWS but, of course, I was screaming with the crowd so my ears were fine.
