Did he really just say that? Because that's the exact same thing he said the day after the National Championship.

Verbatim.

He truly thinks he knows more about football than Miles. That says enough about him.

I feel bad for T-Bob on the balance - his father's idiot behavior has made his son look bad. His son was a marginal player on the offensive line at a school like LSU. But that's nothing to be ashamed of - it is just that his father's idiocy on the subject (of his son) has made that into a negative the people from a whole region talk about more than they would otherwise.

He'd be a legend in Louisiana if he had never opened his mouth and just sat there and smiled. Now he is a huge embarrassment that as a "fan" of lsu damages the program.

He gives people across the country that everyone in Louisiana hates Les Miles and wants him gone its embarrassing

T-Bobs not a bad kid I met him a couple times at fraternity parties and he is kind of a dork and was a nice guy. He gets bashed mostly because of his dad

Well, he probably does know a bit about football but it's the way he conveys things. He's a perfect mirror of a certain segment over at TR. Miles needs an OC, or change his philosophy, or etc., etc. etc. This should be discussed. But when the opening statement is almost always preceded with 'Lestard' type vernacular, it's poor taste, not helpful, makes whatever follows secondary, and ultimately is harmful to the program. Plus, he's a Saints guy, not really a LSU guy (he went to Northwestern).

He's a drunken jackass who takes criticism of his own team over the line

T-Bob represents LSU well every time he opens his mouth.

absolutely

the son could teach the father volumes on appropriate public behavior.

Sadly true. He's a perfect representation of the bad side of Louisiana sports fans. Loud, stupid, and drunk.

There's an interesting dichotomy with the Hebert's.

He played HS ball and won a state title with Bay-Bay Orgeron way down on da bayou. He was a multi-year all-state safety until his senior year. I believe the story goes that their QB got hurt and he took over the QB spot his last year and they won a state championship.

Dude played small college ball in-state at the same position (had some big-time offers to play in the Secondary IIRC) and then played in some minor pro leagues here and in Canada as well.

Got a shot with the Saints and never looked back.

As far as his antics, the Saints allow him to trash up their press box and hoot and holler. He's viewed as a less loquacious yet just as accented Buddy D in a sense.

His connection to LSU is through his son. T-Bob was a quality utility guy on the OL that Les really liked a little too much. He was good as a backup or a spot-starter. Unfortunately we-and by we I mean Les-viewed him like an All-American.

He didn't see the field much on 1/9/12 so Bobby blew his stack over that as much as the loss and the way we played, you can guarantee that.

I can also tell you that he's been warned in previous seasons (2007 in particular) about rooting in the LSU Press Box. I believe he was thrown out this year at the Bama game.

The word around the campfire is that LSU came down hard on WWL when they were allowing him to blather on and on after 1/9/12 about Les Miles. To the point where they called him and told him to muzzle up.

Ironically, his son is on the local ESPN affiliate trying to eke out a career as a sports broadcaster. He's alright, but he's a young guy and there isn't much polish.

I have heard some scuttlebutt that there is another Jed...Errr...Hebert. One that plays the QB position. Who knows where he may end up if that's indeed the case and he's a decent player?

former Falcon, Frick that Dude

All the loudmouth a-hole shite is spot on, but my lasting memory of him is when he played for the Birds after the Saints and he seemed absolutely personally delighted one game when he beat the Saints. Forget the exact game, but he was running around with his arms outstretched like a plane, in rapture. I'm not a huge NFL or Saints fan, but I thought, "you know what, frick off traitor."
