How many MNC/bowl games/moral victories did yall have during that span?

Does our lack of those make you feel any better about 35-7? eta: If anything it should make you feel worse.

You realize we were independent for about 20 years prior before joining the SEC right? Sorry that we weren't able to win many conference titles in that span

We realize that SC is in the heart of the South and had to wait 70 years until someone even cared enough about them to let them into the SEC... and 20 years later and the best they can do is boast of 3rd in the SEC East...

You would be hard pressed to find a USC fan that won't admit, openly, that we have had a shitty history on the gridiron, for the most part. We were horrible for the vast majority of our time on the football field. But all that adversity didn't dampen our enthusiasm for our team. What it did was give us perspective... perspective that we can now share with our vaunted neighbors who can't seem to win against us anymore.

It's OK Peter... it gets better. Maybe not next year, or the year after that... or the year after that... but eventually... you guys will win again... maybe...

So chin up!! You can have our oft used "Wait 'til next year!!" adage. We don't need it with you guys presently.

That is where you are wrong. Much of your fan base has no perspective as evidenced on this and other threads on this very internet website.

There's a UGA fan here with five national titles in his sig.

The premise of these "threads" has been that our much downtrodden fan base has no idea how to act with a modicum of success and should be put in their "place" by those to whom success has, until recently, been a given. But these displays only reiterate your own butthurt sense of dismay. You are not used to losing. You have no experience with losing three in a row to USC. Not in 62 games, 109 years... it never happened. Until now. And especially not in such a colossal fashion.

You are embarrassed and are lashing out. It's OK. Let it out... the tears you shed now will make the ones you shed next year, after a fourth consecutive loss (another first!!), easier to deal with.

(Maybe, if you ask nicely, the Tiger fans you meet Clemson next year can give you some preparatory advice on how to deal with it...)

You were making a good effort at it and then you threw out "butthurt" and that word pretty much negates any smart smack your post could have contained.

In any case, justify it all you want, but the school that you did not go to but cheer for has no SEC Championships and Tulane does...

I'm pretty sure that UGA's ranked a lot higher than SC among public universities.

lulz - weak sauce.

Our "perspective" is what it has always been - to keep endeavoring to improve, always looking forward, always doing what it takes to eventually win championships in all sports.

Evidently your perspective is something completely different, to look to the past, which recently includes three losses in a row to a program which you now obsess over. But that's cool, I like it. Thanks for making my day. Looks like there is soon to be a whole generation of butt lickers that will grow-up having nothing to do but talk ancient Gamecock history while having their arses handed to them year by year.

Now you are not being honest with yourself, but I guess that is a learned mind trick needed to be a Gamecock fan. Our perspective is we were SEC East Champs 2 years in a row and yours is USC is 9-5 against good SEC teams the last few years...

enjoy... perhaps, one day, your team can jump KY or Tulane on the SEC Champions list....
