In Arkansas it’s worth noting how many LSU fans there are up here. Like I’ve had multiple teachers with LSU flags in their room or seen people walk-in around school in LSU merch. I’d say central and south arkansas lends to a lot of Arkansas-LSU rivalry

But only because Arkansas views LSU as a rival and not vice versa. I get a lot of crap for being an LSU fan in Arkansas and I can’t imagine the same for an arky in N Louisiana

Idk about those rivalries, but Fayette County may be the only place in Georgia with the same number of Tech fans as there are UGA fans.

Interesting topic.

Georgia-Florida is most balanced north of Jacksonville and pretty much all across South Georgia. As you go inland towards Valdosta, you start seeing more Florida State added into the mix.

Georgia-Auburn is most balanced around Columbus-Phenix City. It really is a very even mix with a lot of Bama mixed in too.

I would think Alabama-Tennessee was historically most balanced in and around the Sand Mountain Region... Boaz, Guntersville, Fort Payne, Scottsboro, etc. However, with the way the rivalry has gone I would imagine its not nearly as balanced as it once was. It's probably way more pro-Bama nowadays. While less concentrated, you'd actually probably find more balance in some of the Nashville suburbs now than anywhere else.

All of those others I don't have any knowledge of.

Adding an in-state rivalry to the mix, I think the epicenter of the Iron Bowl rivalry is the OTM area of Birmingham. Alabama-Auburn. It's home for me so I can speak to the shear balance in this area. Outside of OTM Birmingham, the entire state is pretty much an 80-20 split towards Bama. Auburn-Opelika is the sixth largest metro in the state, and its obviously 90-10 Auburn.... parts of Huntsville and Montgomery may approach close to 50-50 as well, but those areas are small.

The OTM Area including Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, and north Shelby County (Meadowbrook, Brook Highland, Shoal Creek, etc.) is home to roughly 200,000 people and its truly split 50-50 between Alabama and Auburn. If anything, sometimes I feel lately it might lean slightly towards Auburn. There are other fans sprinkled in as well, but its truly the epicenter of the Iron Bowl Rivalry IMO.

Arkansas fans that live there and around the border have already confirmed this happens.

Either New Orleans or Jackson probably.

Honestly, anywhere along the gulf coast beach because I always see a ton of LSU, Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, State, UGA, and Tennessee fans. Its like a giant melting pot of SEC fans, there is always some decent friendly banter back and forth.... I remember in 2004 my family went to the beach, and some Oklahoma fan wrote "BOOMER SOONER" in the sand, big enough so everyone in the condo could read it. So that night, my brothers and I added a "- 14" and right on top put "LSU - 21". Good times.

Yea - the Gulf Coast, Atlanta and maybe Nashville feel like the biggest melting pots of the SEC.

I know many have said Columbus for AU/UGA, but Atlanta isn't far behind. Auburn and Georgia are the 2 biggest fanbases across the metro, though fans of 100 other schools waters it down a little.

LSU has a small presence in east Texas. But to say LSU owns the entire state is just dumb. UT still owns Texas.

Actually, lately Tech owns everything UT, so maybe they own the state of Texas. Aren't you a little lost, BDF fan? This is an SEC board ...

Really Georgia and Florida there is no single town.

They cross State lines, and allegiance flips quickly at that state line.

We are not rivals with Ole Miss. Arkansas State/OM on the other hand definitely a rivalry. I'd say West Memphis, Arkansas is the epicenter of that rivalry. Lots of rebel flags at all the truck stops in west memphis. This is why I never stop there when i'm headed that west or to Omaha. Plus i have too many teeth, i would get kicked out of any establishment in west memphis.
