A couple things:

a) Mett not being as good as hoped for or advertised. This is a very distinct possibility, but I personally see LSU running a very similar offense to the one we ran with Jarret Lee early in the season, except more effective with intermediate/deep throws. Could be scary, but still an unknown.

b) Losing more young talent than anticipated. Mo Claiborne is probably the only guy who will leave early, but there is still a chance that someone like Sam Montgomery could leave. Also, losing Brandon Taylor and Ryan Baker will hurt a lot, but I think we have the horses to not miss a beat.

c) Staying hungry for more!!!

On the bright side, they would have already won the SEC by then....so there's that

Don't think we'll be better next year, might fall off some. Mett should be a better qb, but experience does matter. Randle is probably gone, wish to hell he'd stay to help Mett. Claiborne is GONE. Obviously, Brooks and Taylor were seniors. Brooks wasn't a starter all season, but he did fine enough yesterday against the Arky receivers who were supposed to shred us.

I just hope we don't end up like 2010 Bama. Obviously the most all around talented team in the country but due to complacency or whatever slips up and loses games they should win.

Has the potential to be a great 2-to-3 year run for the Tigers. No question.

Playing at Auburn and Arky isn't an easy feat. New QB next year (though I view this a plus) as well. Lots of variables at stake.

They lose 3 Senior LB's and 1 Starting DB for sure, and probably R. Randle and M. Claiborne.

I think they lose a couple OL, but not sure on that one.

Just to set the record straight - Ryan Baker is the only senior LB that LSU loses that will have any meaningful effect. Hatcher and Francois are essentially backups to Kevin Minter (So.) and Tahj Jones (So.).

Mo Claiborne is likely gone, and losing Brandon Taylor (sr.) will hurt. But I have confidence in Ron Cooper, LSU's secondary coach. The secondary may not be as epic as this year's but it will still be one of the SEC's best - especially now that TM7 has demonstrated his ability to play safety.

Losing Will Blackwell on the OL will hurt a lot, but he is the only senior starter.

ETA: The scariest part about LSU next year is that the defensive line will be better. Returning all starters + Freak and Rasco with a year of experience...This should make up for any backsliding in the secondary.

Lol u dumb. Our sr LB's outside of baker have been riding the bench. Randle probably stays. Claiborne is gone, but wait till you see David Jenkins DB U . We lose Tbob and many see that as an improvement

Yeah, it's not like LSU has no depth behind the current starters. LSU has been a recruiting machine for years.

I went off the depth chart on rivals, usually pretty accurate.

We lose two former safeties that Wif on tackles at LB. two sr QB's that everyone in the SEC swore were the worst QB's not named Morgan Newton. We lose the nations best DB for a second year in a row and still likely won't miss a beat in the secondary. We've recruited and developed the young guys well.
