What bowl was Mizzou supposed to get?

Seems them declining it may have saved face for the SEC
A 5-7 team would probably be playing the week before the real bowls started and that would have been embarrassing for the conference as a whole. I say good on Mizzou for turning it down and letting some B1G or B12 look foolish instead.

Christ, even better Mizzou turned it down, remember what happened the last time they were in that bowl?
#1 Opponent = Tulsa, non P5, so a Mizzou loss would embarrass the whole SEC
#2 Attendance = 41,728
#3 TV rating = 1.5 : casty :
#4 Mascot issues with Truman

Going to the bowl or not going to the bowl Mizzou still looks foolish either way.

Nope, I was being serious. It was a response thread to the other thread.
It was a no win deal for the SEC this year to send a 5-7 team to play a non P5 team. Mizzou issued the "no go" release but you have to think Sankey and the Mothership approved the message from the start.
