Great Images!

Thanks

I have chased multiple rabbits on this journey. It is so tempting to just focus on Bama/Bear I have to force myself to be selective. My current folder has multiple pics of Bear with other iconic coaches. If I put all of them up I run the risk of having a Bear Bryant wall rather than a CFB History wall.

My current thinking on the CFB wall is:

1. Pre 1960s - the pics need to be held to a higher standard. Important events, Legendary coaches/players

2. 1960s - 1980s - Love this era of CFB, I will be much more lenient on standards for this era.

3. 1990 - present - Want very few pictures from this era. Some may make it.

After I research some more and read the Rant's suggestions I may change that focus.

Those are not iconic. Stop turning this into a homer thread.

On Field Celebration after Beating Nebraska

I never understood this. It was #18 Texas A&M vs. #9 Nebraska. Nebraska went 10-4 that year.

Was that the first win over "Big Red" in quite some time for A&M?

It was a special promotion to try and set a new record for the largest student section. We crammed over 90k in a 82k stadium with the majority of the over capacity being students. We were fresh off of beating top 10 OU and smacking down RG3 the 2 weeks before riding a 5 game win streak. It was the last home game of the season vs a top 10 Nebraska team who we would no longer play (going B10). After the win the team invited the students on to the field to celebrate. Kind of an organic thing and not really rushing the field in the traditional sense. Back then (pre SEC) fans were allowed on the field after every home game.

We beat them the previous time we played as well in 07. However, they had has success before that.

The hatred is strong for these 3 in this picture! Understand Paterno, the other 2 is because they beat the hell outta LSU. Bowden did rebuke LSU also.
