You think bamas win over them in 92 is the cause of what's going on to them right now? Gumpin ain't easy but I guess someone has to do it

Yeah they had a decent little squad in the early 2000s tho. Some plucky ball clubs. You can thank BAMA though for making sure they were never the same

They kill programs 20 years in the future and even though said program dominates for 4 years in between

More so? Yea. Just like LSUs win over Miami in the chick fil a bowl probably had a bigger effect on them than the 92 bama loss. Even though I really doubt single games kill football programs

For the sake of argument, I'll agree with you about the '97 Florida game and instead argue that the 1995 Auburn game was the moment everything changed in the 90s at LSU. White jerseys. The SEC debut of the most important recruit for LSU in a long time -- Kevin Faulk.
I can't quantify it for you. I was there as a student from '92 to '97. DiNardo did a tremendous job selling LSU across the state from the time he was hired until that pivotal win over Auburn.

1984 A&M-Texas: started the greatest 15 year run in A&M football history. Was a 5-5 team that went into Austin and beat a top-15 ranked Texas team. Next year went on to win our first conference title in almost 20 years.
1999 A&M-Texas Tech: And then it was over. We came in ranked #5; lost and started a slide that would see us ranked #23 in the final AP poll. We wouldn't finish in the top 25 for the entire decade of the 2000s.
2012 A&M-Alabama: Beat the eventual national champion -- on the road. It at least made A&M feel like we can compete in the SEC at the highest level.
