Still a true FR. I kinda hope he RS's just so he has time to learn the playbook. Brandon Allen just wont be the answer for us at QB Im convinced. He doesn't have the arm or accuracy or even the confidence to be a starting college QB imo.

With that said I hope the fricker proves me wrong.

Austin Allen had the 2 best throws of the spring game. He was inconsistent as well though.

They should at least share some snaps or not give Allen the chance to completey tank before trying the FR.

Or is it not about wins and losses at this point?

I would say just the quality of play. TT, NIU and the 2 East opponents are all pretty good teams...it's a tough schedule.

I agree but Id prefer some form of deep threat compared to the medium/short range that we have with Brandon. I mean he already throws enough ints to where it couldnt get that much worse

It is, if you look at who our best players were last year, it was mostly coach B recruits. We are going to be improved this year, but we have a very tough schedule so I am not sure if that is going to give us more wins because everyone else is going to be improved as well. Which is why I stand by my 2015 is when I think we will see if coach B can get it done or not.

If Arkansas loses to Tech, Im pretty sure that every BCS conference team in the state of Texas will have scoreboard over them.

Right. Let's say Hogs go 4-8/5-7. The most important thing is how they compete. And like you say, Bret has to totally redo the team. As great an offensive mind that Petrino was/is...sacrificing DL recruits to have 15 WR's (yes, hyperbole) wasn't the way to take next next step.

You hyperbole, but he really did that except DL recruits it was LB recruits and the WR recruits were in jail by their sophomore years.

Whats bad is WR was one of our worst positions last year. They actually made BA seem worse than he was.

Yes, exactly. Once this incoming freshmen class has a year under their belt as well they will also see more playing time. We have a couple incoming freshmen WR that are going to see immediate playing time. I give him a pass for this season as well. It's a 3-4 year rebuild for Brett.

I would say Wisconsin's 2014 season. The fact that they went to shite after Bert left proved how great a coach he is.

I also heard that during practice he allowed WR's to run free while DB's kind of idly watched. If so, I can see this helping with timing but I see no way of getting a great D doing this.

Do you know if this was true or not?
