Can any mizz people give an idea of the HS talent in the state? I would assume it is somewhat close to the surrounding states, but I really have no idea

Doesn't look good to me:

You realize bama is multiple heads and shoulders better than any of those teams right?

But is UT?

As a UGA fan, Mauk's inconsistency is what gives me hope for a slip up in the last two games. He is decent when he plays well, but he has proven completely capable of losing a game on his own.

The UGA game was skewed by outrageously poor offense and turnovers.
Hutson Mason was 8 of 10 on 3rd down with 7 1st downs vs Mizzou. That along with Chubbs 143yds on the ground & 31 recieving is why UGA won...

Missouri is definitely on a good trajectory though. Don't know any fans personally but would you honestly say you thought Missouri would be contending for (and winning) the East as regularly as they have been?

I thought we'd pretty consistently be #2 or #3 in the East depending on who was rebuilding, and win the east every 4-5 years when we put together a great team. So a little less than we were doing in the B12 north.

The real change in common perception will be when the recruiting classes start to catch up to the level of the team's performance. I'm not sure why they can't ever seem to land a top-30 class, but that is really the root of why they are always underdogs against teams with worse records.

Pinkel can't seem to capitalize on great years with recruiting. ATM got a big boost out of moving to the SEC...we've stayed at par. It's frustrating.

It isn't great but that's also skewed by 1/4 of the STL market being in IL and 1/3 of the KC market being in KS.

Since Dobbs took over at QB, yes.

They're playing with a ton of confidence right now. It will be a real test.

Interesting, I didn't think of that, That's probably enough to move it up a few spots.

Haven't looked into it much but I wonder if Missouri is still competing more against the Big12 than against the SEC for recruits. It's probably a disadvantage being in the SECe while being physically located so far west.

Whats funny is I actually think Missouri is a good team and gave them plenty of compliments, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I think this game will be really close and will be a good test for both teams.

Yet, because I didn't just come out and say "frick the Vols, Mizzou gonna win. Let me shite all over my team"... that turned into a "nobody us likes us everybody underestimates us "

And that is annoying, so frick off.

We relied on TX pretty hard, it seems like we aren't getting as many recruits anymore. Nubs always took the most talent out of MO, and seem to still be doing it. Hoping if we stay competitive in the SEC that we can close off the border and maybe start poaching B1G territory a little bit.

Who knows, but I highly doubt we play that poorly again.

Bama barely beat, or scored on Arky, LSU and MSU. Lost to Ole Miss and didn't score much.

They'd beat us by 40 though...

Those teams are all better than you. And 3 of the 4 (the one's not against a Top 4 team) were on the road. You won't have that luxury.

Not trying to discredit y'all, but if you can't see that our complete derp show on offense was a major factor in that game then I don't know what to say.

No, I don't think they are. Especially not Arky or LSU but hopefully we'll see.

Yes you are... Your defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down & 6+yds, you had 10 chances against Mason & he converted passes for 1st down 7 times. We also earned our points, not like MU scoring 40 on UF with 120yds of "O"...

UGA TD drives... 71yds, 65yds, 52yds & 50yds. Your "D" couldn't stop UGA & your "O" sucked...

Do you think the fact that our D was on the field for 42 minutes might have effected their ability to stop plays?

It was 17min to 13min in the 1st half when we scored 20 of our 34. Were your guys worn out then?? Our 71yd & 65yd drives (neither were offa TO) came in the 1st half while y'all shoulda still been fresh...
