I think y'all are selling Miss State short. Mullens has really been impressive with the program. I think as long as he is around, Miss State will be competitive.

Keep in mind, they were pretty close this past year. People are too quick to discount the success of last year and yet quickly rely on the past history of the program.

LSU d started putting it together once personnel changes were made, beckwith at mlb, gidchaux getting more snaps at DT and Adams at safety. Our d won't struggle early on like it did against wisky, state and auburn.
Okay then what happened with Arky and Notre Dame?

Defense played well against Arkansas.

And the Notre Dame game is another story.

What happened against Tech? couldn't figure out how to defends the triple option in a month?
there is a reason they are 2-5 in bowl games.

Tech was a damn good team last year.

That being said our D sucked and we had a secondary coach prepping the D for that game.
We had 500 yards of offense. The D will be better this year.
I know you don't want any reality though. This place is allergic to anything beyond trolling.

better coached, but you lost most of your best players. Not gonna help.

You bring back 3 starters and think you will be better. Thats realistic.

I like Manny Diaz, but you don't lose 8 starters and get better.

Ever heard of the 1A and 1B Collins was in love with?
While it killed us last year it gave the 'backups' a ton of playing time.

If they aren't better State is in for a long season. I am still banking on being improved on D. Especially on takeaways.

Yeah, and they think there will be no drop-off after adding Kevin Steele to run the defense because of a defensive line coach coming in (Ed Orgeron). LSU fans used to slobber all over John Chavis' cock before there was a hint at him leaving. And after he did leave, "oh we were tired of 4th and Chavis, and his defenses choki

Not even close to being true.

We actually had 600 yards of offense against Tech...and lost.

Since 2008 MSU's 2014 offense would rank third in YPG. Behind JFF's two seasons.

I'm sure the State equivalent of Tiger Rant is just brimming with geniuses. I mean these are the people who brought us #theNetwork.

If I had to choose I would rather watch a good offense over a good defense. At least that way you have an entertaining product to watch.

Yeah I am not very concerned about the offense. Dontavian Lee looks like he may have been a real steal.
