What I like most about this is that the media has put more stock into their own off season opinions than what has actually happened...in actual football...on an actual football field. If Alabama is the 2nd best team in the country, I skeet coco puffs.

quote:

1. FSU (46)
2. Alabama (1)
3. Oregon (5)
4. Oklahoma (2)
5. Auburn
6. UGA (2)
7. Michigan State
8. Ohio State
9. Texas A&M (2)
10. Baylor
11. UCLA
12. LSU (1)
13. Stanford
14. Southern Cal
15. Ole Miss
16. Notre Dame
17. Arizona State
18. Wisconsin
19. Nebraska
20. Kansas State
21(t). South Carolina
21(t). UNC
23. Clemson
24. Missouri
25. Louisville

What? Im not saying we are the number 1 team but we do have the highest ranked win at the moment. Maybe that is why the guy ranked us # 1. No spin.

This poll is much more indicative of how things should stand than the coaches poll. Much, much more fluid with teams rising and falling to correct misconceptions in the preseason polls

You cannot tell me that after just one week (ONLY judging this week of football) that A&M doesn't belong in the top 10. Make a case for ten better teams.

Also, UGA and Auburn had good showings. LSU pulled one out of nowhere, because that is what Les Miles just does. Going to be a fun year!

Yeh I mean I don't think LSU should be ranked 1 either, but maybe that voter is voting on who has the best win

LSU isn't the only questionable ranking he put out. Here is his top 25.

You laugh but we all would have checked a writer in to a mental institution if he voted Auburn top 5 after week 1 last year

If we are going off one week of games, UGA and aTm should be top 5.

I think the point is that you consider all of the information compiled over the offseason and the previous season...as well as how it manifests itself on the field. Some clearly didn't do that. I'm sorry...Bama was way overrated coming into this season...even those overrating them acknowledged all of the issues/question marks...and many straight up called them out of their BS...what happened? They weren't that far off from being knocked off by an unranked team that exposed exactly what folks were worried about most 1. qb 2. QB 3. QUARTERBACK 4. Pass rush (none) 5. Secondary (corner and non All-American safety position.

I don't have a big problem with where Auburn is ranked...I'm just tired of the lazy cockriding bama fap fest.
