Yes, but we do still have a chance to host.
Hell yes you do. Go 4-2 vs. the Mississippi schools and that last series vs. Arkansas would probably be for a host spot. I think if you go 6-3 down the stretch you get to host.

Congrats to Kentucky and Auburn Baseball. Great job on turning it up this season.

USC has lost 5 straight weekend series and has a losing record in the conference yet Collegiate Baseball just can't quit them.

That leaves roughly 2-3 spots which one will go to the Big West Champ if it's Long Beach St, and one going to Missouri St. if they keep dominating in conference. All of this can and will change but 2 national seeds and 4-5 hosts out of the SEC should be expected.
Wait and watch, the B1G will get at least 1 host site so they can put it on the BTN.

Meat Chicken is the only option

No they won't. They very rarely have host sites and Indiana and Illinois two years ago are the only ones that have hosted lately. Purdue did once in 2012. Maryland is their only option at this point and they are at #20 in the RPI and have a 6-10 record vs. the Top 50. Not going to happen.

Missouri State would not be able to host no matter what happens.

And why is that?
Posted on 5/1/17 at 9:36 pm to Farmer1906
Springfield Cardinals. Same reason Arkansas hosted as a 2 seed for Supers two seasons ago. They have a home series that weekend.
So that would open up another potential host site for the southern region.

Do they already have a home series that weekend? As long as there is no conflict then there should be no issues.
Posted on 5/1/17 at 9:39 pm to Farmer1906
Yes. They host San Antonio for a 4 game series. They won't be able to host.

Bummer for them. You'd think they would try to work with the team/league to not have to worry about that.

They just pay rent. Thats about it. It is a nice stadium, but it cost them the Super Regional a couple years ago with Arkansas. They would be able to host a Super the following weekend though. So they go some place as a 1 seed, which has happened before...and they could host a Super...or they just get stuck with a 2 seed.

I would be tickled pink if we landed a National Seed.
