I wonder why Perfect Game loves UF so much?

Perfect game is usually the outlier.

I don't want to shite on UF. I think they're a top 10 team and top 3 in the SEC right now with arguments to be even higher. I'm not a huge fan of PG either. They're usually better than Collegiate Baseball, but they're probably one of my least valued.

They have had UF over-rated and Auburn under-rated in every poll this year.

I'm starting to think that 6 of the 7 ranked teams could end up hosting a regional.

There's just no way the SEC will get 6 hosts spots this year in my opinion. 4 should be a minimum given the depth of the league with 5 being a toss up depending on the rest of the nation.

The ACC is top heavy, they'll probably get at least 4. PAC 12 will get at least 2, Big 12 will get 2-3.

That leaves roughly 2-3 spots which one will go to the Big West Champ if it's Long Beach St, and one going to Missouri St. if they keep dominating in conference. All of this can and will change but 2 national seeds and 4-5 hosts out of the SEC should be expected.

A&M will likely be a 2 at someone else's regional and be a nightmare there.

We are a different team than when we started the season.

I haven't looked all that closely, but I would think the hosts, at this point, would look something like this.

Pac: 1 to 3. OSU is a lock. AZ & Stanford are both borderline. I'll say one of them gets it. No one else is anywhere close. 2
Big12: 2 to 3. Tech and TCU are near locks. WVU is borderline, but I am leaning no. Maybe they get it based geography. tu could sneak in with a big run, but unlikely. BU's conference record is shite. 2
ACC: 4 to 6. I think they get 5 in. Seems like a lot, but the top 6 in the conference are all pretty damn good. If someone shits the bed then only 4, but I'll leave it at 5
North & "non power 5": 1-2. S Miss, Long Beach St, S Florida, & McNeese are all in contention. I'll give it to S Miss or LBS. 1

That leaves 5 hosts spots for the SEC. I think that sounds about right. Everything could flex up or flex down.

Yes, but we do still have a chance to host. 7-2 down the stretch would do a lot for our rpi and probably get us a co-championship. We'd have a chance with a 7-2 finish. Now, we probably won't finish 7-2. But it's a real possibility.

If we were to finish 9-2 (7-2) then we'd be 41-15 (20-10), top 4 in the SEC with a shot at sharing the title. That is 100% a host resume. RPI will take care of itself.

A&M still has a great shot to host.

Anyone in the top 5 of the West right now is battling.

I forget, which team started the season by winning their first 21 games?
Where are they ranked?
