I don't see State catching up and competing for the conference crown down 4.5 games with 9 remaining.

We have 2 of our last 3 series at home against the last place teams in the East and West (Missouri and Arkansas) along with a road series at Auburn who may have mailed things in for the year by then.

I could see us possibly going 7-2 in our final 9 and if A@M goes 4-5 vs the murderers row that they have left State would pass them.

That is not out of the question at all. I was speaking for the conference crown, not the west. If A&M goes 4-5, State would only need to go 7-2. Not all that crazy.

What has Georgia done athletically in the past 5 years?

Texas A&M the best hitting team in the SEC vs the best pitching team

Are you calling A&M the best hitting or pitching team? Because I am pretty sure we lead the conference in AVG, OBP, SLUG, OPS, ERA, and WHIP.

I'm honestly not all that worried about the conference crown-- I just want to host a super and get to Omaha. Maybe because we're so far off from winning the SEC.

It's funny that LSU will likely finish 4th in the West, and could still go deep in the tourney, even making a trip to Omaha.

That is insane.

Why else would one have someone else's logo if not to dupe people?

I don't think we can manage that. The West is possible but not overall. What I want is to finish in the top 4 so as to avoid the Tuesday playin and get the bye. Be huge for us since we fall off after two starters.

Slim chance of making a Super, but it's not impossible.

It's a slightly down year for LSU. Unfortunately a slightly down year in the SEC means you will struggle to go .500 in conference play.

You're right. I do nothing but post about UGA, just to confuse people.

My post history will confirm this.

Good one. I give them credit. State will still lead the west by the tourney

I could see LSU putting it all together.

Another tough break is that some pretty nasty Alabama pitching may not see the light of day.

They're getting as much out of an inexperience lineup as they could hope for. The pitching staff, from top to bottom, has been a huge disappointment.

If, and it's a big if, they can pull it together LSU may make a little bit of noise in post-season play. Lange has shown signs of doing so, but he's the only one. Poche is still struggling and the bullpen is unreliable.

That is how baseball works sometimes.

In 07 Oregon St finished 3-8 in the month of May. They had a losing record in conference (10-14) and barely made the postseason. After losing their 2nd game (won the 1st) in regionals, they went on to win 10 in a row and win their 2nd national title.

Similar thing happens the very next year with Fresno St. They finished the regular season 33-27. They then had to go 4-0 in the WAC conference tourney just to make the postseason as a 4 seed where they proceeded to win it all. They were 5-0 in elimination games.

Even after he stated "I'm not a UGA fan"

Also hol' up. Even GEORGIA has CWS title in baseball and they own MSU in everything else. Sit down
