It's at home and weather should be good again. They have a loaded pitching staff. If we get 2 of 3 it would be a huge win for us, especially this early in the year.

And a final bump. My day was long as hell so I am just now getting to finishing these.

I think every SEC team except UT & Auburn got some votes in at least one of the polls.

Alabama also included in the "Others Considered" for D1.

A little surprised D1 didn't drop anyone from the rankings, just reordered the preseason rankings.



D1Baseball seems to use Aaron Fitt's methodology from his time at Baseball America. The teams are ranked where they are in the preseason based on talent and full season potential. Just because they lose a couple of early games doesn't mean the talent and potential isn't there. They'll usually start dropping people from polls and moving new teams in after week 2 and 3 if some of the teams in the original Top 25 have a losing record at that point.
