Columbia lost it's appeal to me

I'm not sure, but I think we're supposed to be angry at that number?

I googled it, and nothing satanic came back, so...

It's not just you. If StubHub/Craigslist ads are any indication, Bama's attendance Saturday for its home opener is going to be less than capacity. There will probably be folks giving away tickets close to kickoff Saturday.

I expect it to be near capacity. Visitor section upper corners may not be full, but with that new subscription ticket plan they came up with, they may be able to fill some of those if they were returned. Any word on how SC fans will travel for this one?

Tennessee's makes sense. This is supposed to be The Year. Nobody wants to miss out on the start of the road to glory.

The test will be how strong attendance is if they continue to underwhelm.

I've been told we sold just over 4k tickets, which is not bad considering how far away it is and how remote it seems to be when getting there. I'm sure the hotels in Choctaw will be booked slam full as usual when we play y'all out there ... plus there will be Gamecock fans that will drive in from Memphis, B-Ham, Atlanta, etc., who may not be registering with the normal Gamecock Club channels.

We'll be well represented but not like in Nashville or Gainesville or Lexington or like when we travel to Athens and Knoxville.

Keep in mind that Auburn* didn't sell out the Clemson game until the week of the game.
Like Coach Bryant reportedly told Shug Jordan's secretary back in the '70's, "Don't you people take football seriously down there?"

6. UK 57,230 Renovation must have reduced capacity

CWS could hit 70K with overflow, but 66K or 67K was old official. UK went ith pro setup (fewer seats and more corporate seating) and it knocked capacity down 6K to 8K.

Only empties were in top of south end zone. Looks like a pretty accurate attendence.

Kyle Field seats 102,000. There were not tons of empty seats. The south end zone holds 25,000. It is three.decks high so lets call it 8000 each deck. I was at the game. There were about 10 rows empty right under the jumbotron and about 10 rows empty in the far right corner whcih is a UCLA section. That only adds up to maybe 1,000 empty seats you were seeing on TV. People are making it sound like there were 20,000 empty seats for some reason.

You may see several stadiums start to downsize.
Costs of attendance keep going up.
It's a lot easier to sit at home and watch it on tv in my living room.
