So, I get an invitation to my cousins wedding on the day of the game, in Birmingham. Damn letter was postmarked for only 12 days ago.
I don't think my cousin is marrying into the brightest family.(he is from MI and FL)

Oh, I'm not, but laughing that a wedding would be scheduled that day, in Birmingham, on such short notice.

Some things are more important than football.

Cousin's wedding is probably not one of those things

don't go man. just get a copy of their video if you really want to see it. send her a telegram congratulating her; she'll never forget a telegram (nobody gets those these days).

if she get's mad tough shite. sometimes ya gotta put your foot down.

Only go if the wedding will be over by 11 AM.
That way, you'll only miss College Game Day.

That is a little odd for Birmingham, but not everybody in Alabama are football fans.
